according to Buddha
There is no fire like passion
No crime like hatred,
No sorrow like separation,
No sickness like hunger,
And no joy like the joy of freedom.

Ah, yes, Freedom…what is that, exactly? Freedom from oppression, repression, suppression and all the other -pressions. Or is it the courage to make those necessary, but very hard, decisions that change our life for the better? Hmmm?
From one sloppy buddhist to another, may you have the merriest of Christmases, and let’s hope the 2013 year is much more stable all-round. Thank you for thought-provoking blogposts, and hope more is to come next year. All the best, :O) PS: Love your doggie post, snow on the chin, wonderful….
ah yes freedom…perhaps, each day we make a choice for a moment of freedom…big picture…big institutional change…change is always a complex word… freedom along with the “isms” and the “posts”…perhaps, all artificial divisions…i don’t know…all so contextual but i do thank your for your comments janina…i appreciate them from sloppy me 😉 to you…may your days be merry and bright!
off to the woods a fresh -29…big dog loves it 🙂
“…artificial divisions…”, yes, I agree! I’m with big dog — I’d be flat on my back, doing angel wings, or maybe that’s butterfly wings, swishing back and forth with my arms and legs…you know! 😀
