according Buddha

Like a lotus flower that grows out of the mud and blossoms above the muddy water surface, we can rise above our defilements and sufferings of life.

  1. I would love to be near water right about now – it’s hot and humid with no relief in sight. I especially love the last image – could be an album cover.

    • the North Saskatchewan river has been high…it is not one for people to swim in…even on this day little dogs need to be careful not be caught up in the fast current …but i agree ever so beautiful to be near…and play with the big dogs.

Not sure where you are but i wish you reprieve from the heat and humidity…and thanks for your kind comments Mobius.

  2. Cat Empire are totally cool. They were down here for Womad. Had a mini insight today while I was unloading the dishwasher. Which I usually find boring. I asked myself “How much if my life is boring, like this?” And the answer was “Probably about 90%”. And I thought, that’s silly: am I really going to waste 90% of the rest of my life being bored? So I concentrated and slowed down and enjoyed the job. The lotus rises above the muddy swamp. Ola e. Enoy the trip!

    • oh yes i do enjoy Cat Empire…when i am engaged in doing mundane work…i try making the ordinary extraordinary in my mind ;-)…adding music always works…i thought about your comment as i was unloading my dishwasher…in doing the task i reminded to respond to your comment…thanks for stopping by 😀

  3. Great shots. Love the tonality in these.
