According to Buddha

Human rights, democracy and peace are a single entity. When one disintegrates, they all disintegrate.

 take me to church
i’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
i’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife

  1. This is a great statement “When one disintegrates, they all disintegrate” ~ it aptly describes the state of affairs around the globe. Hopefully ’15 will see improvements of all three.

    • words of Daisaku Ikeda a Buddhist philosopher …i read along the way and as always i wonder a little about the source who says what…or apparently said that or this…but yes i liked the words and the thread that connects us all…i work hard to play the believing game…sending loving kindness…good worldly things are possible! happy day to you Dalo!

      • I too always wonder about the source of who says what ~ my favorite book (Dao de Jing) is pretty much considered a collaboration of ideas/people (especially the last verses), but the thread & meaning of every word are woven in every religion, philosophy and person. Similar to the words you have in your posts, providing beautiful inspiration. Cheers and happy day to you Hedy!

        • thanks kindly Dalo and i’ll check the book out…i appreciate your words and thoughts. happy new day/night…look forward to seeing your shots. ~ smiles hedy

  2. … To work hard at playing “the believing game” about some concept we admire … perhaps all we have to do is act “as if.” As in: “I don’t know that I believe it, but I shall behave as if I did, because I do believe in the value of the behaviour that belief would inspire.” Or perhaps that is too convoluted. Or too clever-boots. Happy new year!

  3. And biggest is Do not kill animals to eat , which is in backburner and only thoughts are being followed by so called buddhist. Peace will never come after killing animals in name of food, or worship. Siddhārtha become buddha after he saw killing of animals for name of sacrifice and his followers failed him miserably. New last buddha will alienate all humanity except few 10’s.
