According to Buddha

You must know the difference between imagination, theoretical knowledge and true realization. Could you nourish yourself by only listening to a talk on food? To know food only theoretically is to always remain hungry. You must eat to satisfy hunger. So he who seeks new doctrines continuously but does not put them into practice in his life is in continual spiritual starvation.

Edmonton and Calgary ~ random coffee houses ~ November 2015.

  1. You’ve got some nice images, here. But then I am biased by my love of coffee and coffee shops. My favorites are the one with the reflection of people walking by and the guy at the counter writing or studying. Have a great week, Hedy.

    • it was fun gathering them…and yes i too love coffee Chris…i’m going to share some of the images with the ppl i see at the cafe’s regularly 😀 happy sunday and have a good week too…thank you kindly ~ smiles hedy

  2. Once again a beautiful collection. I always feel as if I learn something about photography when I look at the world through your eyes.

  3. Hmm, the other way of putting it would be, “Those who only read the diet books will remain fat…” As always, wise words & arresting images.

    • thank you kindly Penny…i’m currently enjoying a re-read of Paramhansa Yogananda’s work…and coffee houses are always fun spaces! happy photo walking ~ smiles hedy

  4. Hi Hedy, You’ve captured life’s small moments beautifully. I am particularly drawn to the image with the round tables in the foreground and the woman laughing. Great compositions.

  5. This gives me the great feeling of autumn moving into winter ~ amid the holiday season are those moments to sit, reflect, interact and enjoy the change of seasons (and spirits). Cheers as we enter the final month of the year 🙂

  6. Wow these photos are stunning!

  7. i find the lighting in this set of photos to be very alluring and delightful. 🙂

  8. Great set of B&W’s Hedy, such beautiful light.
