According to Buddha
The heart-quieted yogi in superconsciousness becomes able to see visions and great lights; to hear astral sounds; and to become identified with a vast dimly lighted space—alive with glimpses of beauties hitherto unknown.
beneath this snowy mantle cold and clean
the unborn grass lies waiting
for its coat to turn to green
the snowbird sings the song he always sings
and speaks to me of flowers
that will bloom again in spring

Alison
Thank you so much Alison…I enjoy playing with my camera and being in the woods…so much! 😀
Great images, Hedy….It looks quite chilly where you are. Cheers!
cheers Chris…from balmy Edmonton…i’m thinking it’s been one of our mildest winters in decades…sweater weather 😀 but it’s still winter so who knows when that snow will fly…happy snapping Chris!
It is nice to have a mild winter every once in a while. It was mild here but recent snows and the forecast for a chilly weekend has given us the feeling that winter is here. Cheers
snowy day here…i just love it! cheers to you Chris…dress in layers to be extra warm! smiles 😀
This whole series of photos is a perfect description of “heart-quieted yogi in superconsciousness becomes able to see visions and great lights…” The landscapes here show a side of life that would bring nothing but serenity and make the mind dream ~ you are a very lucky lady to be living in such an oasis Hedy. The first shot is my favorite ~ could stare at it for hours… Best to a great week ahead!
Randall always such thoughtful comments…I love to walk with my dogs and camera…it is a dreamscape for me…being outside is the best! Happy week to you as well…can’t wait to see what you have composed 😀
Your first image reminded me of one of Klimt’s paintings of the forest…
I loved how color shows up sparingly, but so meaningfully in this series, Hedy. Winter’s stark black and white is the perfect backdrop to reveal the way color nourishes and sustains us…
Peace
Michael
Thanks Michael…I agree with the colours…and I love the woods…and always appreciate images that capture the forest…I look at paintings to make my images so that’s a wonderful compliment to say Klimt…the winds are howling here today…compose a happy one ~ smiles hedy
Sublime shots Hedy and so other-worldly!
It’s so etown…my river walk…thanks kindly Patti!
Breathtaking photos–so much “magic” in nature–if only we take the time to look. I love how you capture the beauty of change in our “everyday world,” which is so incredible–and likely missed by many.
