According to Buddha
The rains of life’s blessings cannot gather on mountaintops of pride, but flow easily into valleys of humbleness.
i never meant to cause you any sorrow
i never meant to cause you any pain
i only wanted one time to see you laughing
i only want to see you laughing in the purple rain
purple rain purple rain
purple rain purple rain
purple rain purple rain

…it was a rainy Tuesday so beautiful to see the rain in Lisbon and then the news from Prince’s passing on Thursday…seemed to work for me…I always appreciated his music…I just felt it worked in a sublime kind of way…thank you Terry for your comment ☺️
Gorgeous moody shots Hedy!
Thanks so much Patti 😀 appreciated!
I loved them all, but the first one in particular today. The tanker in the brighter light of the distance, and the white church steeples beneath the darkening sky made a poignant and interesting contrast. A lovely composition, Hedy! It reminded me of something I read of Christopher Alexander’s once about color, and how if you remove the color (from a picture, a painting, a sketch, etc.) there should be a balance to the light and dark– a shape, a proportion, a life to it. That is what this picture had for me…
Peace
Michael
