i never meant to cause you any sorrow
i never meant to cause you any pain
i only wanted one time to see you laughing
i only want to see you laughing in the purple rain

Lisbon, walking random streets to train station ~ April 2016.

  1. Fantastic!

  2. A day with rain, love all pictures.

  3. I love the colors and tones in these,. Really nice, Hedy…Cheers!

  4. Wonderful. And a nice rain tribute to Prince. I always find your blog to be an inspiration, Hedy. Thanks for that. ❤️

    • Awe thanks kindly Van ☺️ appreciate you saying…my intention is always to search for beauty here on my sloppy blog…compose a happy day ~ smiles 😃

  5. Beautiful photos and fantastic tribute to an exceptional artist. Thank you for sharing these inspirational thoughts.

    • …it was a rainy Tuesday so beautiful to see the rain in Lisbon and then the news from Prince’s passing on Thursday…seemed to work for me…I always appreciated his music…I just felt it worked in a sublime kind of way…thank you Terry for your comment ☺️

  6. Gorgeous moody shots Hedy!

  7. I loved them all, but the first one in particular today. The tanker in the brighter light of the distance, and the white church steeples beneath the darkening sky made a poignant and interesting contrast. A lovely composition, Hedy! It reminded me of something I read of Christopher Alexander’s once about color, and how if you remove the color (from a picture, a painting, a sketch, etc.) there should be a balance to the light and dark– a shape, a proportion, a life to it. That is what this picture had for me…

    • thanks for your thoughtful response I wil check Christopher Alexander…new for me…appreciate learning more along the way…humble thanks ☺️

  8. stunning photos with wonderful lights, colors and shadow. Touching! Great work, Hedy!

  9. choice photos for this unforgettable classic

  10. Amazing shots, I love the last one! 🙂

  11. okay, a mild measure of disbelief here: you took ALL those photos? so versatile! so widespread a gathering! tendrils of “hitting” (capturing/conveying) so many space/places! welldunn !

    • Yes I did and all the photographs on my blog are taken by me…I’m a image-maker and I’m learning along the way…And one day I will ‘be’ a photographer ☺️ I appreciate you noting my work Betunada 🤓 humble thanks ~ have a happy day ~ smiles Hedy
