According to Buddha

Forget the past, for it is gone from your domain. Forget the future, for it is beyond your reach. Control the present. Live supremely well now. This is the way of the wise…

i don’t know why i just can’t let it go
i don’t know why i just can’t let it go
memory’s old but i just can’t let it go
the idea’s gone but i just can’t let it go

random streets in Lisbon, Portugal ~ April 2016.

  1. I really like all of these, but the second shot is especially wonderful, so visually rich. Well, and the third one, too. 🙂

  2. I like the second one too.

  3. the second shot drove my attention on twitter, something looked familiar – then I realized it was yours, the rest of them here on the blog, are also amazing! great colours and light! 😀

    • 😀 thank you Jose appreciated…oh yes it is the light to me as well so i chose The Lumineers – In The Light 😉 😀 have a happy day ~ smiles hedy

  4. All of them are beautiful, but, number 2, it’s superb, thanks.

  5. Very good shots. I like all of them. Transfering some kind of spiritual thoughts.

    • thank you kindly Zsmszabo 😀 i think you are right! some hedy head thoughts lingering…and thinking about light and bright…have a happy day ~ smiles hedy

  6. Love these images, Hedy. If you took the exact same shots here, (Las Vegas) they wouldn’t look half as good as there is no character to any of the buildings here. Just imitations of other places. But with your eye, I’m sure they would still be interesting.

    • oh yes i do understand Emilio…the aesthetics of places and the colour and tones in nature…Alberta colours and architecture are different in many ways…i prefer the golden patina tones…a feeling of worn a sense of deep knowing…here it’s bright white blue…delicious sunshine…sending you joy!

  7. Beautiful photos, I enjoy making my own stories from what I see in them.

    • Thank you Terry ☺️ I’m glad there are spaces in the in-between to compose your own stories…that’s the best! Have a wonderful day ~ smiles Hedy

  8. Like the warm color palette. Excellent compositions that create a beautiful series, Hedy.

  9. The first four, and also the guy with the newspaper. Love the gorgeous honey light. I want to be able to take photos like you!
    Alison

  10. the remainders of the past are always there, part of the now 😉
    love your colors!

    • yes…they are 😀 and yes the honey light as Alison says…i love it…so unlike the bright white light here…delicious sun today! hugs Inge

  11. The young acolyte asked the old monk, “Is this all there is?”. The old monk’s reply, “Yes, THIS is ALL there is.” In a fellowship I belong to, we often espouse the virtues of living but one day, or even better one moment, at a time. I love the image that includes the blue walled up portal. It makes me want to see what’s beyond.

    • oh yes staying in the moment…and yes beings in human suits 😀 all of making some sort of sense along the way…life is an adventure and mystery…i also imagine a different world behind the blue portal…thank you for your comment Strange Tripster…compose a happy day ~ smiles hedy

  12. Thank you for the rich and enticing photos and script
