According to Buddha

Realize that you are not really a fleshly being; neither categorize yourself as a Hindu nor as an American, or any other conception you may have of yourself that is limiting and sense-bound. It is wrong to say that we are mortals when we are essentially immortal. It is the truth that we are gods, and it is wrong to call ourselves weaklings.

the heart has a way
of pushing you though the darkest days
we live in our mind
and it makes us all forget sometimes
can make life hard to tell
but if you can take a moment
and just listen to your heart
you will find there something to relive the pressure

  1. so very nice pictures, familiar places, my favourite one is that with the dog, it really captured how displeased the dog was for being on the leash – I had a terrier, I know those looks! 😀

    • Jose thank you! and yes i rarely walk my mutts in the city…i love dogs…terriers are very cool! and yes that look i know it well…compose a happy night ~ smiles hedy

  2. Great photos. Buddha is wise although I still feel very weak at times. Ah to grow and get past those events that take their toil on our mind and body. Love the posts.

    • i would have loved to meet Paramahansa Yogananda…Terry i really don’t know all the precepts of Buddhism but like the practice of kindness and looking for beauty…i need to feel weak to know when i’m strong…knowing this allows me to move forward…i really enjoy composing my sloppy posts :-D…i think it’s my residual teacher/researcher mind…it’s a fun release for me so i’m glad you enjoy them too! sending you joy and strong hugs ~ smiles hedy

  3. Lovely photos! The second one with the flying bird is my favorite! 🙂 But I like every image of this series of course. 😉

  4. A nice series of images Hedy. Have a great week. Cheers!

  5. #2 is really a keeper. What a lucky (skillful) shot. A like the color tone of your series a lot. Well done, Hedy!

  7. Beautiful pics, as always. Love the critter pics–that bird in flight (a crow?) is amazing! Their feet are usually tucked up when they fly–makes me wonder if he/she was about to land. Bird feet are fascinating. (Bird everything, really.) 🙂

    • thank you kindly Raven…i know so little about birds but now photographing i really enjoy capturing them…and yes their feet, wings and little faces…all so adorable 😀 but i love all critters…have a happy day ~ smiles hedy 😀
