According to Buddha

I enjoy everything, but I have no desire for anything, so there is never any pain or disappointment from unfulfillment. Whatever I do, wherever I go, I enjoy myself.

i been looking at the stars tonight
and i think oh, how i miss that bright sun
i’ll be a dreamer ’til the day i die
but they say oh, how the good die young
but we’re all strange
and maybe we don’t wanna change

and i don’t want a never ending life
i just want to be alive while i’m here
and i don’t want to see another night
lost inside a lonely life while i’m here

i got guns in my head and they won’t go
spirits in my head and they won’t go
but the gun still rattles
the gun still rattles, oh

  1. “Pigeons in the light” is just awesome! Excellent black and white series, Hedy. Like your POV when people walk by. Very special and very nice. Sunny smiles. Reinhold

  2. Another very nice set of black and white images, Hedy. I really like the ‘street level’ point of view.

    • Thanks kindly Mic..I was trying to capture the pigeons walking…I was sitting on a piece of cardboard for some…it was fun…also interesting odd to have ppl stare at me…I’d like to try again this perspective ☺️ have a happy day!

  3. Interesting point of view here, Hedy. I like it and need to remember to crouch down more. Cheers!

  4. Thanks for the lyrics; I only ever figured

  5. out the first two lines of the chorus. Nice pigeon shots. I can see why you liked Lisbon!

    • i did and i do very much 😀 …i know it was my outsider view…but it was the feeling…atmosphere…light…air…wind…water…green…blue…people…foods…wines…sand…pigeons…ability to walk everywhere…i’ve been lingering in the photographs i took…it was a fine time…have a wonderful weekend Bunty 😀

  6. I love photos 1,2 and 5, they talk to me. Buddha’s saying is profound, I wish to rethink my life and get back to items that I need to survive and enjoy life. What is that 100, 200, 300, 1,000 items I don’t know, I just wish to downsize my existence. Amazing what a life changing moment in your life does to you. Many happy thoughts to you Hedy, and again thanks for the inspirational quotes, great songs and amazing photos.

    • thank you for saying Terry…i begin with my body…doing as many ‘good’ things as i can…then i can expand to the broader universe…and from my aging parents i learn…and downsizing “stuff” is a very ‘good’ thing 😀 ….good is such a loaded word…you’ll downsize when you are ready…you will know…i know 😀 hugs for a happy weekend…i’m planning to be outside as much as possible!

      • My time for downsizing is now, I want less to worry about and enjoy more free time to nourish my soul.Have a great time, I am going to an aviation and automobile museum this weekend. Thanks for the kind words.
