According to Buddha

Awake. Arise from dreams of littleness to the realization of the vastness within you.  Come. I will show you that you are a spark of the Eternal Fire that is drinking with countless mouths the Bliss-nectar honeycombed in the heart of all created things.

thousand faces staring at me
lonely shadows following me
lonely ghosts come a-calling
lonely voices talking to me
now give me that fire
now give me that fire
now give me that fire
burn, burn, burn

Terwillegar ParkEdmonton, Alberta ~ July 2016

  1. Picture number three – absolutely sensational, Hedy. You may well disagree, but somehow photography seems to capture clouds in all their glory, but sunsets themselves elude it in ways I can’t put my finger on. I feel the same is true with paintings, but it could just be me, of course. 🙂

    • humble thank you Hariod 😀 yes i love that sky…it was an amazing thursday morning…i also understand what you say about paintings…my mother was a painter…she taught me a lot about looking…today it’s blue and delicious sending you joy ~ smiles hedy

  2. Wow, so beautiful it almost looks surreal!

    • thank you kindly Susan…i’m humbled…i did small edits…and also i learn a lot about post editing from your work…i always love your tones and colours…here is Alberta the light is so white and blue…i’m learning a more and more about light…compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy

  3. Such dramatic colors, Hedy….Have a great week. Cheers!

    • wonderful morning it was Chris…i love outside…the time just before the light…i will have a productive week and no doubt you will as well…thank you very much ~ smiles hedy

  4. Great photos, full of dramatic charge, congratulations

  5. Spectacular skies! The clouds seem to hold so much drama–I see a battle between two entities in the sky in third photo. That feather photo is pure magic–this entire post is magical, really. Love the song and the quote–just what I needed today. Thank you for sharing this gift of beauty and creative inspiration. <3

    • oh yes i’m kinda hooked on Barns Courtney in this moment…he’s wonderful! i took these photographs early thursday 5:30ish :-D…i love this time of day…you’re very kind Raven Wolfe to write…i’m humbled and i’m glad you enjoyed it <3 …i had fun putting it together 😀 have a happy day! many smiles hedy

  6. Wonderful series of photos Hedy, and the quote you use exemplifies the beauty of color and the brilliance of nature “I will show you that you are a spark of the Eternal Fire that is drinking with countless mouths” ~ and I am one of them.

    • thank you Randall for your comments 😀 so nice to hear from you…i was also amazed at the colours…we’ve had a exciting summer weather here…and i’m glad you are one of us 😀 compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy

  7. The photos are beautiful and the sky’s are breathtaking. I hope to exit my dream to realization in this upcoming year. Have a wonderful week.

    • went out in my pj’s no one was up and the mutts don’t care…i was thinking i’d find the fog…but no it was fire skies…Terry it’s a moment at a time…so enjoy each moment…you will see i have no doubt! have a fun day…sending you joy and all good things 😀

      • Oh I cherish every moment given to me, but a cloud follows me at this time. I will outrun it or should I say let it pass.

  8. What a magnificent sunset (sunrise?), and the feathers were a delightful surprise.
    Alison

  9. amazing color(s)

  10. Fire in the skies and compositions. Vivid colors! The feather is as fragile as the clouds. Fits perfectly into the series, Hedy.

  14. What a lovely conversation you have had with the sky, Hedy. And the feathers near the end so perfect. It’s like the way songs take on a richer life when their part of the whole album. Amazing how the sky produces such delicate children. The feathers almost looked like they gave it their all coming through a storm or something, like they were stretched thin and now are resting. Nature seems to always tell everything at once, but can never pin the whole thing on those little feathers so you keep looking for more of it, but it’s always all right there… in the colors, the texture of the clouds, the shape of the land converging beneath them, and the vision of the photographer who is looking… It’s all saying all of it…

    Peace
    Michael

    • Michael…always humbled with what you say…i’m wordless…and i thank you for this…i agree the “feathers almost looked like they gave it their all coming through a storm or something”…i love the sky and clouds and the summer storm colours…compose a beautiful day Michael…happy writing ~ many smiles hedy
