Hildreth & Sasser’s Hill number

According to Buddha

Attention is like a searchlight; when its beam is spread over a vast area, its power to focus on a particular object becomes weak, but focused on one thing at a time, it becomes powerful. Great wo/men are wo/men of concentration. They put their whole mind on one thing at a time.

green eyed lady dancing with the firelight
just to make a living having visions by the riverside
if we were lost i think we’re found now
come one, come all as the morning shines out
say goodbye to the night
it’s a new day for you burning bright
so cross your fingers and hope to die
say goodbye to the night

Terwillegar ParkEdmonton, Alberta ~ August 2016

  1. I think this is one of my favourite series ever. The opening photo had me immediately, but then all the following ones drew me in as much. Exquisite use of B&W Hedy. Simple beauty.
    Alison

    • thank you kindly Alison…it was early monday morning…so lovely and quiet…it’s my favourite time of day, you know…i appreciate your words! 😀

  2. PS I googled Hildreth & Sasser. I now know their hill number. I am none the wiser 🙂

  3. So much beauty in the simplicity, and focus, of black and white. Just lovely, Hedy. These are exceptional. 💘

  4. Stunning images, marvelous in b& w.

  5. Beautiful landscapes and beautiful black & white.

  6. Focus the whole mind on one thing at a time? How deeply unfashionable. How deeply needed …

    • i try not to multi-task…then i get more done…but never enough time…so much to do and explore 😀 you know Penny! have a happy day ~ smiles hedy

  7. Absolutely dreamy. I can almost smell the damp earth. LOVE.

  8. Gorgeous landscapes, in b/w.

  9. Stunning photographs! Absolutely terrific! Love them! 🙂

  10. That is so wonderful, Hedy. Stunning images! ..like you always say about getting up early: The early bird catches the worm! 🙂

  11. Lovely Photographs

  12. I love this series, Hedy. You have captured a beautiful atmosphere and landscape…

  13. Oh Buddha so wisely said but so hard in todays world. Lovely photos, the last one just draws me in. I want to follow the path to see where it leads..

  14. These are so inspired

  15. Reblogged this on luc20090's Blog.

  16. Lovely! 🙂 I like the atmosphere and the landscape… These pictures are great ones. 😉

  17. Mesmerising – and beautiful music too, thanks for sharing!

  18. Another beautiful series, and another black dog! I love when the Earth exhales on a cool morning and her breath settles down in the folds of her body and lingers. Something about the choice to show these in black and white adds to the feeling of them quite a bit it seems to me. The mist leaps off the page.

    Peace
    Michael

    • she is my black dog…my baby gorilla who walks and photographs with me along with my other little mutt ☺️ I also love fog and the quiet of this time of day…compose a happy day Michael 😀 thanks kindly for your thoughtful comments 🤔😊
