According to Buddha

Water condensed becomes ice, and so invisible Spirit can be frozen into form by my devotion’s frost. If only you could see the beautiful eyes of the Mother that I beheld last night. My heart is filled with joy eternal. The little cup of my heart cannot hold the joy and the love that I beheld in those eyes — looking at me, sometimes smiling.

ramblin’ rose, ramblin’ rose
why you ramble, no one knows
wild and wind-blown, that’s how you’ve grown
who can cling to a ramblin’ rose?

Alberta Roses ~ June 2016

  1. Lovely. 🙂

  2. A beautiful image.

  3. Love the pictures! And the beautiful quote and poem that comes along with it!

  4. Breath taking images deliver perfect setting for words famous and then some
spend a perfectly peaceful day dear friend

  5. Thank you. 🙂 I’m going to post a rose today too. It’ll fit my mood. Stay tuned. 🙂

  6. So lovely! I can almost smell the sweet scent of these delicate pink blooms as I look at these beautiful pictures. I love how the water droplets reveal the fragility of the sweet petals. I adore these flowers–perfect and so pretty on a disappointing morning. (American election–I have no words.)

    • thank you Raven Wolfe…yes the fragility…i love these flowers and the scent in the woods…i pulled them from my phone last week and thought i could make a beautiful post with these…not knowing that we’d be awakened to the news of “it’s a boy”…i guess i ought to have made a post with blue bells 😉 😀 listening to Nat is making my day nostalgic…smiles for a pretty day ~ smiles hedy

  7. Very beautiful.

  8. 3 lovely parts to this post, Buddha, photos and the song. I especially love the first photo. Have a happy evening Hedy.

  9. Reblogged this on luc20090's Blog.

  10. It looks like a wonderful shoot after the rain. Cheers, Hedy. 😊

    • it was a past walk in the summer woods…iphone captures…and yes water and flora…always wonderful…:-D hoping all is weel for you on Mildford street…saw the Boston news images…happy day to you Chris! 🙂

      • Thank you, Hedy. Yes, interesting times here. I have not been downtown during any of the protests or rallies. I am just hoping we all live happily after. Have a happy day. Cheers!

        • well at least stay in the now…the sun will rise again tomorrow and we’ll all have a brand new 24 hours 🙂 have a peaceful Sunday Chris!

          • I am working hard to stay in the now. Going crazy with speculation will help nobody. I am turning off much of the news and focusing on my studies and other things that are important to me. Thank you!

          • yes i have no telly…but there is free cnn streaming…i’ve unplugged and took a road trip and played with my camera…being present is mattering and much more fun…happy studying Chris! 🙂

  11. Beautiful photos to match that wonderful quote.

  12. Congratulations on the new baby boy in your life! <3 Exciting!

    • It’s another chapter being a grandparent…so fun and delightful ☺️ it’s an 8 hour drive so it’s doable 🤓 and of course flying…it’s exciting Raven Wolfe 🤗

  13. Terrific photos, Hedy, I’m confused, though, why the title of the post, i.e. “Israel room number film”?

    • humble thank you Genie 🙂 and yes i titled my post with number meanings…i explain more about my blog here and you can see my number association 😀 https://sloppybuddhist.com/define/ have happy writing and photographing week ~ smiles hedy

      • I’m into numbers too, however, not Israel, unless Israel is willing to be law abiding.
        i.e. 1967 Borders.

        • numbers have always been a struggle for me…and this post tile is referring to ‘Room 514’: an Israeli film that looks at gender, justice, sexuality & the occupation…i’ve not watched the film Genie but as i read the film has artistic and entertainment merit…always a negotiated subjectivity so yes there are wonders about the political-cultural implications of any given work of art, especially one set against an ongoing political and moral dispute that has yet to be resolved…November 15th marks 28 years…apartheid has no place anywhere in the world…but i’m not sure how i feel about democracy in this moment…thank you for your comments Genie…now i’m thinking more…

  14. Rambling rose is Bonita!

  15. Thank you! Very beautiful!
