time, time, time see what’s become of me
while i looked around for my possibilities
i was so hard to please
but look around leaves are brown
and the sky is a hazy shade of winter

Mill Creek Ravine, Edmonton Alberta ~ 2017

  1. Something about the picture of the dog really caught my eye. I think it’s the fact that his face is so expressive.

  2. Beautiful landscapes and pictures. I like the black dog on the white snow. He is fantastic.

    • Awe thank you Alex…i also love black dogs…in fact i love most critters…and yes it was a beautiful frosty day…have a beautiful Sunday ~ smiles hedy 😀

  3. I hope the poor dog is not frozen yet. He looks like me in winter 🙂
    Excellent photos, Hedy.

  4. Incredible photos, wow, snow, ice, and more snow
The dog is precious (is he yours?)
    Stay warm dear friend

    • thank you Eddie 😀 …yes we had fog and frost…and now more cold…but it’s winter and it’s Alberta 😀 and yes she is one of mutts…she is my protector 😀 have a beautiful day dear friend ~ hedy

  5. Soulful dog. Love him.

    • oh yes BIG soul…she is also tough…she is recovering from have a rabies vaccine…which just about killed her…but her soul is strong and she is pulling through…i love her too 😀 have a beautiful day Penny ~ smiles hedy 😀

  6. That is one guilty looking dog. And he knows it. Nice photos! 🐾

    • yup you know it Steve…she was pulling out her inner rascal again…and i was telling her she was going to acupuncture…as we heal her from the vaccine damage…i’ve learned more about that now too! Dogs teach me a lot about life…you know! many smiles ~ hedy 😀

  7. That should teach you to finish a series with such an outstanding image of your pet. I do like it very much myself but I also like your cool series of winter images. Cool in both meanings. Did you change the orientation of #2? I like that one. One broken, one standing with all its power in the background. I like your winter images, Hedy! But I have to admit: your black beauty is winning the price! Smiles. Reinhold

    • yes it was a perfect walk…well behaved dogs and being outside in a room without a roof…is always the best for me…no #2 i just went underneath…i love trees too 😀 thank you Reinhold i am humbled as i respect your photography and continue to learn more along the way…have a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy 😀

  8. The dog image is great. Things look fresh there, Hedy. I hope you are staying warm. Cheers

  9. “a hazy shade of winter” — yes! that describes it exactly. I am always so grateful when someone manages to capture a large sensation in just a few words

  13. Your dog steals the show though the other pictures are great. She looks so sad and soulful. Just want to hug her. Hope she is okay.

    • you are right Ellen she has a sad look and she has a soulful spirit…I think more happiness will emerge once she’s feeling like her old self…she’s a tough mutt ☺ she’ll take your hug 🤗 have a happy day ~ smiles Hedy

  14. You captured the humid cold so well! Brrr! The frosty trees are incredibly gorgeous–it’s worth going out there! (I’m out with my critters in the cold too–we all need it.) Stunning images–I love the frost covered pup at the end. What a face! <3
