According to Buddha

You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world.

looking for someone, i guess i’m doing that,
trying to find a mem’ry in a dark room.
dirty man, you’re looking like a buddha,
i know you well – yeah.

random streets ~ Lisbon Portugal ~ 2016

  1. Very cool series, Hedy… I like the image with the “walking umbrella” most. Looking at your cats / tags I counted > 15. That was an issue in the past. WP basically ignored the post. Only followers could see it. Don’t know if the restriction is still there. Better check it out. Smiles. Reinhold … did you shoot these images with your X100T?

  2. well thank you for both…yes i love umbrellas…seems that are used so infrequently here…about cats/tags…must be my work brain…and so you say the ignore my post with this many…good to know…although i am not sure i even know what that means….so yes i will check out what you have written…and i have a fujix100s….and the 2 lenses 🙂 have a good day…smiles hedy

    • WordPress allows a combination of 15 tags or discriptors. After that, Google can’t “see” a post which restricts the search ability to those who follow you. That’s pretty standard for most social media or even photo agency sites. Oh yeah, MBZ 540. Three headlights.

      • so 15 total between tags and categories…never knew that…thanks for sharing…☺ 3 yes thanks kindly Ray! ☺

        • Early on, I took a bunch of WordPress classes… 📷⚜

          • Well clearly I haven’t…well I’ll take a closer look on those thank you ray ☺🤓

          • Good luck. WordPress has probably 40,000 pages of documentation. Unless one of their “automatticians” link you to something, finding anything is like an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in a slice of bacon.

          • well that’s looking daunting…i have found one human via email who does help me…you’ve made me giggle with your description…an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in a slice of bacon…i did clean out some categories and even deleting those required assistance…now i need to see why my changes don’t stick to new posts i’m composing…have a good day Ray…:-)

  3. And if you can’t dazzle The World, at least dazzle your world. 💕

  4. Hard to say a best photo in this series they all have such diverse meanings to me. Buddha had it it right, but I believe to further the saying we do not need to dazzle the world just make ourselves happy, content and living in peace and harmony with all living things. Have a wonderful day Hedy.

  5. Excellent shots.

  6. love your images from Lisbon, Hedy… they are just as picturesque, color or in bw!!

    • well i wanted to go to Lisbon since i was 8 years old…i loved my trip there and would return in a heartbeat…the golden light and wonderful people…it was a beautiful April so I appreciate you saying ~ smiles for a happy day!

  7. Reblogged this on luc20090's Blog.

  8. Nice street series , Hedy. Where were these made? I like the feel to them. I hope you’re having a great week. Cheers!

    • thanks Chris i forgot to tag it with Lisbon…had a reflective turn moment revisiting my time from last April…stay warm…enjoy your snow 😀

  9. so revealing
    but who
    are these
    Buddhas,
    really? 🙂

    • oh David…i don’t know…Paramahansa Yogananda is one i read most often…i was introduced to Thich Nhat Hanh in 1996 but really i’m a sloppy buddhist…i’m always wondering and wandering in their words…for me some are necessarily troubling and others are possible…if we choose to follow…i’m more of a wanderer… 😀 have a fun day ~ smiles hedy
