well, it’s not far down to paradise, at least it’s not for me
and if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility
oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.
believe me.
it’s not far to never-never land, no reason to pretend
and if the wind is right you can find the joy of innocence again
oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.
believe me.

Lake Genève, Switzerland~ April 2016

  1. Ah, photos from warmer days. Lovely images. Hedy. Cheers

    • i have many thoughts in my mind and yes I revisited Switzerland in my mind and conversations this past week from cowtown…Lake Genève is so beautiful…have a happy day Chris 🙂

      • That is the great thing about travel…you can revisit the places in your mind (and heart) so many times.

        • yes indeed Chris…i’ve just started to look back at the captures i took…also calming…plus learning more with lightroom too…have a happy week ours is a short one with our holiday yesterday ~ smiles hedy 😀

          • I hope you find some gems in your images, Hedy. It was a sort of holiday here yesterday. Some places had the day off and others not. We had classes, but that was fine. I have student teaching this morning (I teach a university English as a Second Language class). Happy editing and happy day.

          • i loved tertiary too Chris…have fun…lucky students who will learn with you…happy days ~ smiles

          • Thanks Hedy. It was a fun lesson. The students were great. I was lucky to work with them. Tomorrow I get to spend the morning helping teach immigrants and refugees. I’m looking forward to seeing your new images. Cheers 😃

          • Good news! We need more of these stories 🤓☺ sending joy!

  2. Excellent pictures.
I like the swan most, due to the distance of the harbour.

  3. Warm, inviting scenes stir the mind for those days when ‘it’s just perfect’ outside
and anything worth doing is out ‘there’.
Perfect photos match that perfect day. Inhale peace, exhale love

  4. Lovely! Calm water is so beautiful and you’ve captured serenity in those images somehow! Love the little pup looking at you from between his human’s feet–and the swan, and the other pup! And those flowers! So much to smile about in this compilation! Thank you!

    • i too needed some calm and serenity…revisited some of my images from Geneva from last April…i loved the lake and dock with the cute pups and swans…soon we too will have spring days 😀 compose a happy week Raven Wolfe ~ smiles hedy 😀

  5. Reblogged this on luc20090's Blog.

  6. cute pups.
swans are know to be a bit vicious

  7. That is one focussed dog!

  8. The ripples that skiff is producing are dissolving into the akashic record of that lake. And that beautiful dog knows exactly what I’m talking about.

  9. last time i went to europe, i landed in Genève, and departed from it

it wasn’t my destination… southern france was, through Lyon to Bordeaux and back through Toulouse and Barcelona. and Avignon…

didn’t expect it, but geneva surprised me… softly… boring but charming in its way

    • I was amazed at the sound of all the airplanes… but there was a quaintness to it all… i’d love to go back and do a mountain trek… and yes the south of France and Barcelona are amazing cities… I thoroughly enjoy Europe…thanks Fernan for your comments ~ compose a happy week ~ smiles hedy 😀
