According to Buddha

use the time of your life.
develop your inner happiness.
recognize the impermanence
of all outer pleasure.

turn the clock back to find
a film that plays
with closed eyes you see it clear as day
climbing trees to unwind
the altitude eased your mind
you’re dreaming of your escape

untie my hand and show me where to go now

Évora, Portugal ~ April 2016

  1. are we prisoners of our own agenda? when are we truly ‘free’

    • depends on what free means to each of us…
i’m imprisoned by things…scripts, traditions, pop culture etc…of course I work hard to break free of expectations…by having none…nothing can be taken…so perhaps a world with no boundaries…we could all move in any direction we wanted regardless of gravity…a world where rules did not exist because everyone would be free to do whatever they wanted regardless of consequence…but i’m doubting this will happen as consequences of an action limits the freedom of another…perhaps, “free” is a world where people take no action at all..but I don’t know…just rambling now…have a fun free day Eddie… 😀 many smiles

  2. It is hard to break free of all agendas, even in breaking free we are bound in a way of thinking that is an agenda. Inner happiness is great but we, as mere humans, will always be bound to outer pleasures such as love and nature. Lovely photos, I especially like the one of the 2 gentlemen on the street, the door and window. To me they all speak of the location. Happy week ahead for you Hedy.

  3. how beautiful
    having a welcoming,
    dreamy place to take
    refuge 🙂

    • Thanks kindly David truly a beauty…it’s an Unesco site…dreamy and all matching…I loved the uniformity of colours 🤓😊have a beautiful day!

  4. Lovely images. I could easily spend many hours here. Wonderful quote from the Buddha. The happiness is inside of us. Everything outside is so fleeting. Have a great week, Hedy. Cheers

          • and now BAM spring…almost 10 now with a rapid melt…and longer light so it’s coming 🙂 yes i did a colour theory workshop with my photo friend…some educative fun…we painted…and apparently photographers don’t like mess…but oh well we made a little…sunny smiles back over the pond Markus! have a productive week ~ smiles hedy 😀
