According to Buddha

There is no map that can show you how to leap. The map for this is somewhere in our own imagination, somewhere in the untrimmed part of us.

went down the hill, the other day
soul got happy and stayed all day
oh lordy, trouble so hard
oh lordy, trouble so hard
don’t nobody know my troubles but god
don’t nobody know my troubles but god

Gold Bar Park, Edmonton Alberta ~ March 2017

  1. And He knows how difficult it is keeping up with things these days,
    especially when you sleep in
have a day full of love and happiness

    • i slept in for me 😀 …just before 7 am and ye i’m having just such a day Eddie thank you kindly 🙂 sending you joy for a beautiful brand new 24 hours ~ smiles hedy 🙂

  2. Beautiful set of abstracts, Hedy. The first one is especially striking as there is nothing to give a sense of scale. Reminds me of photographs of earth from space…

    • oh i had a lovely friday foto walk…and yes the bright sun and river was wonderful…i like that feeling of outer space looking down 🙂 have a happy new day Mic ~ smiles hedy 😀

  3. Nice set if images. I love the line between water and ice. There is something about the contrast. Have a happy week. Cheers

    • Chris so interesting to see the river frozen and thawed at the same time…apparently there is a water treatment plant…so who knows…maybe the warmth…it was a wonderful winter walk…but so bright and sunny…not like your golden light but also very nice…have a sunny and happy week ~ smiles hedy 😀

      • It sounds like a great walk. Frozen rivers are interesting to see. I’m jealous of your warmth. We had a weekend of cold windy weather. I did my exercises at the gym only and got lots of writing done for school. I hope you have a great week also.

  4. The opening shot – swoon. It’s gorgeous. And I love that Buddha quote.
    Alison

    • appreciate you saying Alison 😀 😀 😀 and yeah that Buddha 😉 smiles to Cuba i will go and see your adventures…had a busy week sort off the blogging platform…back this week will have tea and visit 😀

  5. Ooh–gorgeous colours and textures! Love them all!
Leap toward the greatest joys–where we are are truest selves and our senses are the most alive. This, I believe, is how we find the map to happiness. (For me it is time spent in nature–and with pups and horses.) Thank you for sharing! Stay warm! <3

  6. Reblogged this on luc20090's Blog.

  7. to leap from the untrimmed part of us … such a powerful, such a timely, concept

  8. Fantastic abstract images, Hedy. Love the creative vibrancy.
