The Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta ~ March 2017
I love the way you see things. The second and third photos especially are really superb. From the Legislative Assembly? Seriously? In 2017? Did Bad Religion steal it from the Assembly proceedings?
Alison
thank you kindly Alison i appreciate you saying….yes the last image of the bullet hole is a story we were told from 26 years ago…sad actually that people are so desperate…i’m attaching to make sure no one thinks it has occurred recently…http://edmontonjournal.com/news/local-news/the-day-an-angry-gunman-attacked-alberta-legislature-26-years-later-the-story-of-robert-crawford-has-horrid-echoes
compose a happy day ~ smiles hedy
I like the one looking down the staircase, Hedy. It’s my fave of the bunch. The man in the booth is a close runner up. I hope your week is going great. Cheers!

I always find it interesting which photos people like. It is sometimes surprising. It sounds like a fun week there. The workshop sounds like an enjoyable learning experience. Have fun. Cheers
very full week…and yes i read more blog threads of people saying images they favour…hoping your teaching week was a educative and fun one Chris 🙂 smiles!
It was a good week. I have most of this week off and am planning to get out and make some images.

Thank you for the story behind the bullet hole. My favourite picture is the one of the man mopping the stairs.
yes i captured a few of him busy working…pretty sparkly place for sure 🙂 have a happy day Bunty ~ smiles hedy
Missed your comment Bunty 😌 appreciated have a wonderful day ~ smiles hedy
such a beautiful place. Love the stairwell shot.
it is cool architecture Gavin…got a bit more of the history of the building…seems like a bit of a hodge podge…it built between 1907 and 1913 in the Beaux Arts style at the same time as the much larger Saskatchewan and Manitoba legislative buildings by architects Allan Merrick Jeffers and Richard Blakey…yes the stairwells like hallways have stories of their own 😀 happy saturday to you ~ smiles hedy
Beautiful pictures.
thank you kindly Alex 😀 appreciate your comments…compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy
Excellent. I especially like the two people on the stairs. A great composition full of dynamics.
thank you kindly Rabirius…i like the feeling of fury of dashing up or down the stairs too 🙂 enjoy your times in the woods ~ happy day to you hedy 😀
Thanks. Now I’m back at my flat, trapped by rain. 🙂
ahhhhh well the earth is healing is what we say here in Alberta…we have melting happening spring is springing ~ smiles hedy 😀
at the bottom, looking up is my favorite, seeing as how others have commented in like fashion. I think your photos combined tell more of a story. as for any legislative body, finding justification for its continuation. I shall leave that alone. 🙂
ahhhh yes you are right Robert…and yes some of the traditions that are continued on daily basis in the alberta legislative are well a big wonder to me…we waste so much of our wealth…i shall leave that alone 😀 appreciate your comments ~ smiles hedy 🙂
Well, maybe not according to Buddha, but from a great holy-man nonetheless.

DL was the first of your posts I read. After a few more I started to get the gist of what you’re doing. Great format. Maybe I should work on something as light and flexible for my own blog.
I’m no Buddhist. Just a student of Buddhism. I may be a Hindu though. Everyone’s a Hindu. According to Hindus.
i’m just hedy…a being in a human suit…no longer do follow any isms or ists…i blog for me to develop my photography and i love to read widely…i love music and dislike numbers 🙂 and my visual researcher brain knows looking and seeing is hard work…i’m a yogi and yes i work daily on strength and flexibility…bending and being limber…being soft and open…sending you kindness and joy for a happy day ~ hedy now i will go check out work. 🙂
I once had a crush on a woman called Hedy. In a Pictures of Lily kind of way. She liked numbers though. In a frequency-hopping spread spectrum kind of way.
Mettaing right back at ya.
That’s sweet and crushes are always fun ☺ nice to meet you as well ~ smiles hedy 😀
Oh, and I’m a yogi too. But it’s not synchronicity. Just deja-vu all over again.
I like those feelings of deja-vu…also enjoying reading your posts neurodrooling ☺😀 compose a happy day! Hedy
