The Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta ~ March 2017

  1. I love the way you see things. The second and third photos especially are really superb. From the Legislative Assembly? Seriously? In 2017? Did Bad Religion steal it from the Assembly proceedings?
    Alison

  2. I like the one looking down the staircase, Hedy. It’s my fave of the bunch. The man in the booth is a close runner up. I hope your week is going great. Cheers!

    • thank you Chris…i never know which is a fave…but i appreciate people saying…that way i learn more along the way 🙂 and yes i have family here…so much fun to have a little one with us…and i am very fond of babies and dogs so it’s the best! have a wonderful teaching week…i did a colour theory workshop last night with a photographer friend…also much fun teaching brought out paints and paper…really educative fun…smiles!

  3. Wow the législative assembly of Edmonton March 2017 talking false religion

  4. Have a wonderful day to Hedy 🙂

  5. Thank you for the story behind the bullet hole. My favourite picture is the one of the man mopping the stairs.

  6. such a beautiful place. Love the stairwell shot.

    • it is cool architecture Gavin…got a bit more of the history of the building…seems like a bit of a hodge podge…it built between 1907 and 1913 in the Beaux Arts style at the same time as the much larger Saskatchewan and Manitoba legislative buildings by architects Allan Merrick Jeffers and Richard Blakey…yes the stairwells like hallways have stories of their own 😀 happy saturday to you ~ smiles hedy

  7. Beautiful pictures.

  8. Excellent. I especially like the two people on the stairs. A great composition full of dynamics.

  9. at the bottom, looking up is my favorite, seeing as how others have commented in like fashion. I think your photos combined tell more of a story. as for any legislative body, finding justification for its continuation. I shall leave that alone. 🙂

    • ahhhh yes you are right Robert…and yes some of the traditions that are continued on daily basis in the alberta legislative are well a big wonder to me…we waste so much of our wealth…i shall leave that alone 😀 appreciate your comments ~ smiles hedy 🙂

  10. Well, maybe not according to Buddha, but from a great holy-man nonetheless.

You did say you were a sloppy Buddhist. 😉

    • good morning Neurodrooling 😀 well yes my blog is titled sloppy…and yes i’ve also used the works of Paramahansa Yogananda…here is my intentions page…https://sloppybuddhist.com/define/

are you a Buddhist? compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy 😀 appreciate your comment..

      • DL was the first of your posts I read. After a few more I started to get the gist of what you’re doing. Great format. Maybe I should work on something as light and flexible for my own blog.

I’m no Buddhist. Just a student of Buddhism. I may be a Hindu though. Everyone’s a Hindu. According to Hindus.

        • i’m just hedy…a being in a human suit…no longer do follow any isms or ists…i blog for me to develop my photography and i love to read widely…i love music and dislike numbers 🙂 and my visual researcher brain knows looking and seeing is hard work…i’m a yogi and yes i work daily on strength and flexibility…bending and being limber…being soft and open…sending you kindness and joy for a happy day ~ hedy now i will go check out work. 🙂
