According to Buddha

Peace is the enjoyment of life, activity is the expression of life. A balance between the activity of the west and the calmness of the east is needed.

heading for home you start to roam then you’re in town
everybody knows there’s nothing doing
everything is closed it’s like a ruin
everyone you see is half asleep
and you’re on your own you’re in the street
good morning, good morning

  1. sometimes it’s hard to keep up when everything around you has stopped moving.
a little thought here, a little thought there, here a thought, there a thought.
    isn’t life wonderful?

    • life is wonderful and i am grateful…i love my quiet mornings…no beings…just some critters…and a room without a roof…it’s the best! BIG smiles Eddie…have a wonderful day…sending you joy and peace 😀 <3

  2. Hey, when I click on the song link I get

This video contains content from UMG_MK, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

Doesn’t Michael Jackson own the copyright to the Beatles catalogue?
Am I being done over by a dead guy?

    • tee hee…well who knows…i lift and credit…haven’t listened to MJ for while now…always such good dance moves…i was missing Amy Winehouse’s voice yesterday…have a dancing day! smiles hedy 😀

  3. These are beautiful photos! Philosophy is great also.

    • thank you Windmills of My Mind…ahhhh yes i enjoy to read bits and pieces of Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda…not sure if he was a Buddhist or a holy man…now that was mentioned to me by Neirodrooling…but that’s my sloppy…i just liked those words with what i was feeling at that moment 😀 compose a beautiful day and thank you kindly for your comments. ~ smiles hedy 😀

  4. And a hearty Good Morning to you, Hedy. Video didn’t open, but no need…I have this one in my brain !

    • yes it’s that early time again for me…lovely foggy morning today…some tunes do run through our minds…have a happy day…hope your workshop was a success Van! 😀

  5. no good morning for me either 😉

great quote, finding my balance again <3

  6. Good morning! Beautiful landscapes.

  7. Good morning, good morning, yes a wonderful song I have listened to since it came out. It is a shame the video is blocked. Such wonderful photos that actually made me feel the brisk air.
If we can only balance east and west we would be in a much happier place. I know I would be happier.
    Have a great day Hedy.

  8. Ooh–gorgeous pics–love the contrast of cool and warm tones! It’s such an interesting time of year–different every day.
The quote is perfect–I think peace can be found in outdoor activity–or outdoor stillness. I remember a quote from Mary Shaffer Warren, (when she explored the Rocky Mountains in the early 1900s)…”I’m just a hunter of peace…and I’ve found it.” I often feel the same when I am out in nature. So happy Spring is here! <3

    • <3 me too…ready for some green and softer winds…my mother bought me that book 'No Ordinary Woman'…she also loved the Rocky mountains as a painter…and i also love seasonal rhythms…i'll revisit that book Raven Wolfe…appreciated 😀 compose a beautiful day <3

  9. Lovely outdoor images, Hedy. It looks likewinter is slowly giving way to spring there. Cheers!

    • Indeed we’re in the between no beige phase 🤓 i see many flowers and budding trees in other parts of the world through social media…the pink and white flowers ours will arrive just at a different time…hope you had a fun teaching week ☺

      • It was a good week of teaching and the start of a new term. I’m taking a course in computer assisted language learning that I am excited about. Yes, I am sure spring will arrive soon. I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend, Hedy. Cheers!

  10. Reblogged this on luc20090's Blog.

  11. Great words and photos! 🙂

  12. You’ve captured beautifully here the twilight of a season. (He writes in blatant anticipation of spring.) I loved the little tufts of green hidden beside the frozen footprint, and the light through bare trees. These images remind me of the fullness of emptiness.

    Peace
    Michael

    • Fullness of emptiness…😃 I’m trying to remember how quickly fall arrived…winter blew by…full of empty…smiles Michael 😃🤓 appreciate your comments ~ hedy
