Memorize my poem, Samadhi, and repeat it daily. It will help to awaken within you that lost memory of what you are in reality: ‘Try to feel, when walking out of doors, that everything around you is part of your own expanded awareness’.

now i could see the sun rise and set on you
i’ve seen the sun rise and set on you
it set on you
you say you’re looking for something to make you feel anew
you don’t believe in God well whiskey will do
yes, whiskey will do

puddles –Edmonton, Alberta ~ April 2017

  1. Great patterns.

  2. Gorgeous!

  3. Love this entry, the pics and the poem! Wait, I’ve liked all your entries. Thank you!

    • humble thank you Penny…this week a friend introduced mw to the music of Adia Victoria…and i used the words of her song Dead Eyes…and i’ve been into listening to her on my playlist 😀 all my posts include words of music…this is one on my ĬN-TĔN’SHƏNS…have a wonderful day ~ smiles hedy

  4. Wonderful abstract patterns in nature. Are things starting to thaw? Have a happy week. Cheers 😎

    • yes that crunching is gone now we’ve had a little rain…it’s a mud bath 😀 thank you Chris sending you joy for a happy week too 😀

      • It’s the same here. Thank heavens for waterproof boots. I spent a fair part of yesterday’s hike working around flooded areas. But pretty soon, I can run through there in sneakers. Have a fun (even if muddy) week. =)

  5. You mean ice doesn’t come out of the freezer? 🙂

  6. Beautiful sonata.

  7. Love those leaves–and the patterns in the ice–I see feathers and even a dragonfly! So much magic in nature and yes, opportunities to expand our awareness. Thank you for sharing! <3

    • yes Raven Wolfe i see feathers…and i see a bird and others things 😀 …i like spring ice…have a wonderful week with your critters… 😀 <3

  8. Reblogged this on luc20090's Blog.

  9. Another set of beautiful abstractions to be framed and hung on the wall. Hope you’re having a happy Sunday.
    Alison

    • oh yes did a little talk with my friend on street photography with our photo club…it was educative fun…i have to practice a lot…but i have so many ideas…i hope your days are treating you well too Alison ~ smiles hedy 😀

  10. oh… those ice crystals. And I feel I must adopt for my own that exhortation, and try to feel as I walk that everything around me is part of my own expanded awareness — which seems consistent with expanded respect/gratitude for all that surrounds us

  11. Such rich color and detail on those frosty leaves…wonderful! Best wishes for your week, Hedy.

  12. Excellent photos. You have this gift Buddha talks of, to stop and see things around you. Such a gifted eye for the beautiful details most of us would miss.

    • I am filled with gratitude and when I stay in the moment and I have my camera I’m extra happy…it’s also very calming a sort of meditative experience that fills me up…so i appreciate you saying Terry…also I want to explore some other genres in photography…it’s always growing which is the fun part…later many smiles hedy 🙂

  13. Beautifully done, the progression from the first image to the last.

  14. really stunning shots.
    fave.

  15. Reblogged this on Noir.

  16. incredible imagery, captured so perfectly.
    sometimes, whiskey will do
where is the week going…my gosh
have a peaceful day dear Hedy

  17. Marvelously crunchy! 🙂

  18. I’m having difficulty expressing my comments in English… these photos are so “earthy”, so much texture, real, tangible

    • earthy is a wonderful word Fernan…i appreciate the words you have written here…often i find it difficult to put words to what i feel an image does to me inside…usually i see or hear a sensation with looking…not sure how to explain it other than it’s a feeling thing…thank you kindly for your comments…have a peaceful day ~ smiles hedy 😀
