According to Buddha

Build your inner environment. Practice Silence. I remember the wonderful discipline of the Great Ones. When we used to talk and chatter, they would say: “Go back into your inner castle.” It was very hard to comprehend then, but now I understand the way of peace.

blue is the colour of night
when the red sun
disappears from the sky
raven feathers shiny and black
a touch of blue glistening down her back
we don’t talk about heaven and we don’t talk about hell
we come to depend on one another so damn well
so go to confession whatever gets you through
you can count your blessings i’ll just count on blue
blue is the colour of night

    Alison

    • thank you Alison…i appreciate you saying the ones you prefer…i like those ones…they give an illusion of being much higher up than i am…fog is a lot of fun…smiles 🙂

  11. Peaceful beautiful images. Isn’t it just like youth to be noisy and exuberant. Later in life we understand it is not the words but deeds done that mean so much more. Sometimes we can speak to someones heart without saying a word.
Have a wonderful ending to the week Hedy.

    • it is true Terry…i’ve learned more and more how much i appreciate my quiet time…i was reading Thich Nhat Hanh today and he used the example of a pine tree and suggested, what if that tree asked us what it could do to help the world? Our answer would be very clear: “You should be a beautiful, healthy pine tree. You help the world by being your best.” That is true for humans also. The most basic thing we can do to help the world is to be healthy, solid, loving, and gentle to ourselves. Then when people look at us, they will gain confidence and say, If he or she can do that, I can too. So anything you do for yourself, you do for the world, he said. “Don’t think that you and the world are two separate things. When you breathe in mindfully and gently, when you feel the wonder of being alive, remember that you’re also doing this for the world. Practicing with that kind of insight, you will succeed in helping the world. You don’t have to wait until tomorrow. You can do it right now.”…today i had a peaceful quiet day…tomorrow i’ll be more exuberant! compose a beautiful day Terry 🙂
