According to Buddha

It is arrogant to think that our little earth is the only place inhabited by intelligent life.  There are many such worlds as this some more highly evolved, and others in earlier stages of evolution.  The orderly manner in which the universe is run shows that it is guided by some form of intelligence that permeates all created things.

well the road is wide,
and waters run on either side,
and my shadow went with fading light,
stretching out towards the night.

’cause the sun is low,
and i yet have still so far to go

Terwillegar Park, Edmonton, Alberta ~ December 2017

  1. Thank you for introducing me to Foy.

  2. The pictures and the music match like gloves. The pictures, especially the bottom one, are made to look like etchings. Very very nice. I looked up Terwillegar park and I can imgagine the peace in the bend of the river.

    • thank you Peter that’s nice like a glove…that’s a nice feeling too…i have a print maker friend and i always love his works…not many printmakers here anymore…i appreciate the fine arts and i enjoy playing and imagining with the images i create…and i love the river and park a lot! smiles hedy 😀

  3. so beautiful.
    almost abstract.

    • thank you kindly Gavin and yes i ‘played’ with them…i never know what ‘label’ or ‘box’…but almost abstract is a good one…i will use it 😀 smiles from fresh etown!

  4. They almost look like drawings…Very nice. Gosh, we had snow and now the cold has settled in for New Years. Have a great week Hedy. Cheers!

  5. This is a fascinating insight into Buddha thinking. Is there a reference for this. Just thought of following it through as it links to my writing and the concept of intelligence throughout all creation. Good to find your blog through dear Hedy!

    • thanks kindly Georgina appreciate you saying…as the Buddhas have/had so much to say i can play with their notions…with intention…or deliberately so it makes it fun for me…and i’m happy to see your works from Spain too…nice to connect…compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy 😀

  6. makes me happy hearing
    there is intelligent life
    on this planet!
    happy new year, hedy 🙂

    • ya we can use some intelligence right about now David 😀 have a bright day…we have delicious sunshine feels like -33 ~ happy new year to you too 😀

  7. Life in other places in the Universe. Quite possible, isn’t it! And possibly on scales of evolution quite different from what we know. Not necessarily on earlier or later stages of our scales of evolution.
And “ours”. Many people do not see that cultures on our planet are not necessarily on one and the same ladder of evolution.
    Does this make sense?
    Elliington

    • dear Arletta…thanks kindly for your comments and yes for sure it is 😀 and yes we’re not at the top of the ladder…questions about the eternity or infinity of the universe are far reaching…i don’t know but always enjoy to banter those unanswerable questions…compose a thoughtful day ~ smiles hedy 😀

  8. Great pictures. Beautiful and disturbing atmosphere in the forrest. Something from outside or maybe inside.

  9. These are beautiful, Hedy, and they go so well with the music, very mellow but much more than that. Putting everything back right-side-up in the last photo, with all the transcendent light, is a bit of an epiphany.

    • thanks kindly Lynn appreciate you saying…it’s super bright and very fresh here…looking forward to milder temps and snow…the days are getting longer now 😉 enjoy the quiet winter days ~ hedy 😀

  10. Another wonderful post. Looking forward to what you will bring us in the New Year. All the best. 🙂

  11. 🙂

  12. what a beautiful silence in your photos… …I do enjoy that silence very much.. …smile to you, Hedy 🙂 🙂 🙂
