According to Buddha

Today I forgive all those who have ever offended me. I give my love to all thirsty hearts, both to those who love me and those who do not love me.

so many people
are so broken
and this story’s
broken too

we go looking
for forgiveness
for things we did
or didn’t do

monday roses in water ~ etown ~ Edmonton, Alberta ~ 2018

  1. The top picture. Printed about 6×6 feet. Hung on a wall with nothing else around it.

    • wow that would be very large Ray…i’ve only ever blown up one large image for “The Red Dress” photography project…who knows…i’ve been printing “small”…

  2. I don’t know what monday roses are, opposed to, say, tuesday roses, but somehow it makes them even more rose. 🙂 I love these pictures.

  3. Wonderful thought provoking captures, would look great hung in a minimal frame. The quote is so relevant in these times, to let go of all things offending items and live for the ones who really care for you.

    • yes indeed Terry…as i learn in yoga ‘if it doesn’t serve you let it go’…letting go is the work 🙂 happy travels you are having fun i can see 🙂

  4. love the images and note on forgiveness

    • thank you kindly y.prior 😀 appreciated…as i remind myself…everyone is continuously changing and progressing on their journey…coming from a compassionate/soft attitude, no matter how badly one has treated me the past…is my own work and those experiences do define me…they are a thread of my narrative…smiles hedy 😀

  5. Love the detail in that first pic–so pretty! And the second last one reminds me of the silver ball sculpture near the Whitemud freeway. From now on, I will think of your roses in water when I see it! 🙂
Thank you for sharing–very pretty and original! <3

    • ha ha yes the Talus Balls…i like them i just would have loved to see them in a different location…roses in water is a good thought…as it is not a popular piece of public art…glad you liked it Raven Wolfe 😀 thank you very much <3

  6. Very cool set, Hedy. But each one stands on its own too…and in monochrome!!🙂

  7. I never would have thought of doing this. It’s so creative, Hedy. Cheers

  8. Beautiful statements, in all realms, Hedy. I’m glad to see more flower/water images, too. Smiles!

  9. And I like Ray’s idea…or a triptych with #1, #2, #5. Yes, nice and big.

  10. a whole gallery
    in one post 🙂

  11. Oh my .. your images are stunning! Amazing …And that quote. Bring on the love

  12. it’s hard to explain why I feel so much motion in these images… …when I look at the bubbles I’m sure that they are moving! Great work! I would love to try some underwater flower shots too. I already bought some extra strong sparkling water. 🙂

  13. You give me bubbles.

    • indeed and they are so fun….easy to care for as i do not have a green thumb so it creates colour on this long winter days ~ smiles hedy 😀

  14. Do we? Look for forgiveness?
    I’d rather chase bubbles…
