According to Buddha
So, whenever you meet people, be watchful. Notice your first reaction to them. This tells you much about whether you knew those individuals before. It is not an emotion. When you feel in your heart a deep harmony with another person, then you know that you knew each other before.
i’ll be seeing you in all the old familiar places
that this heart of mine embraces all day through
in that small cafe, the park across the way
the children’s carousel,
the chestnut trees, the wishing well

Cacilhas, Lisbon Metropolitan Area ~ Portugal ~ April 2018
Great street shots, Hedy. It looks like you parked yourself at this cafe and caught people as they passed. Cheers
cheers dear Chris thank you! appreciated it was such a nice outdoor cafe…I also love coffee 🤓💫
And now we’re back in Europe again, wondering how many, many people have passed through that door.
yes back and forthing 🤓…my post are echoing my lived experiences in this moment…feels comforting to look back to Portugal…happy day dreaming feelings….will come to visit your posts…hoping all is well and life Is settling in for you ☺️✌️❤️
A trip like yours is so rich, it makes sense to digest it slowly. I’m glad you have the pleasure of it, over and over.
every day is changes and transitions seem frequent so there is a sense of quiet in them for me…I felt very present in April…it was a reprieve from the “life” I felt alive and free…I also appreciate going away…soon off to the mountains for a family wedding which. I’m looking forward too, especially since it’s not my family 🤪😊🤗✌️❤️
🙂 made me laugh! And your feeling present shows in the photos. It always does, but the Europe photos surprised me with their at-homeness, a sense that you’d been there a long time. That connects to what you’re saying here. Interesting, isn’t it? 🙂
since I was 7 years old I wanted to go to Portugal…I found an old school notebook…so yes probably a prior life story 😳🧐😊 survived the wedding weekend phew! 🤗 so busy and whirlwind but so much fun…it was joyful ❤️
This is wonderful. The man with the cigarette and the happy dude below him 🙂
yes Peter the happy man was delightful…thank you for your comments and apologies for such delayed responses…crazy week 🤪🧐🤓☺️💫✌️
Great captures, Hedy. And of course the song and Buddha’s words. I’m so terrible at taking photos of people; I always feel like I’m invading their space. But the greatest photographers must do that, right? Do you ask first, or do you just snap? I feel like if you ask, they look too posed. Wonderful. 🙂
I do sometimes or show them after…I kind of hang around I think sometimes they know I’m there but I prefer candid shots…I enjoy streets and wandering…thank you Cathy appreciate your comments ☺️🤓💫
It’s great to be able to capture people in candid shots. I must be too obtrusive, because I can never seem to pull it off.
well I don’t know…but I know I sure love it…💫
Another wonderful collection Hedy – beautiful captures that take me right there.
Alison
