According to Buddha

A wo/man looking at the sky and the mountains and the ocean does not detect in them the divine presence. The subtle beam of the creator is imperceptible to the human gaze. Because s/he is everywhere, it is as if s/he were nowhere.

now the wind don’t have to hurry
blowing ‘cross my bones
rollin’ up the pastures
smoothin’ out the stones
there’s fire on the mountain
dark angels in the trees
the wind don’t have to hurry
they’re taking what they please

Frank SlideTurtle Mountain southwestern corner of the District of Alberta

  1. Thank you⚘

  2. Rocks and boulders below, dramatic stormy skies above. Nice photos!

    • powerful place Peter…not somewhere I have gone often…this was my first time with my little black box…it’s been decades since I drove though this part of southern Alberta 🤓💫 compose a snappy day ~ smiles hedy

  3. Beautiful all around. 🙂

  4. Wow. This is really interesting terrain. I like the contrast of land and sky. Have a great week Hedy. Cheers

    • worth seeing for sure…strange energy so powerful and then the summer storm just added to it…have a good day Chris…delayed in my repossess and visits to blogs but it will get there yet! ☺️💫✌️🤓

  5. great insight

  6. Not until we see beyond our self will we feel ‘divine presence’ in the sky, the mountains, or the Earth. Mindful practice can lead one on the right path to enlightenment.

    • there was and is a lot of energy there Eddie…so loud and windy…powerful nature you know ☺️🤓💫❤️ have a divine day ~ hedy

  7. Wonderful, when I move up closer there in August I must visit this magical location.

    • it’s a wild and strange place…hard to believe the town of Frank was covered…it’s a good history piece and there is an interpretive centre so lots to learn too 🤓😊

  8. Dramatic and beautiful landscapes. Great images.

  9. so dramatic.

    • the thunder and lightening was amazing…freaky and loud 🤓☺️ have a good day Rabirius always appreciate your comments ☺️ thank you ✌️💫

  14. what a contrast of elements… ..stunning, Hedy. Majestic 🙂 🙂 many smiles for you 🙂

  15. I love the quote with these very powerful images, Hedy. They really get the message across of how harsh that place is, harsh in a wonderful way, if you know what I mean. (And I’m sure you do). Sorry I’ve been not much of a presence here of late….there’s a lot going on, getting settled and checking out the new area.

    • yes yes…no worries about being present I know you and others look when it works…lives are full and busy and complex at times…new beginnings take time…I like middles best…I’m also ‘behind’ in responding 🙄 but that’s what I like about blogs…one can visit and revisit over time…now I’m running to the bakery ☺️💫 hugs and have fun 😊❤️
