According to Buddha

Your search among books, word upon word, may lead you to the depths of knowledge, but it is not the way to receive the reflection of your true self. When you have thrown off your ideas as to mind and body, the original truth will fully appear.

biking in Amsterdam ~ September 2018

  1. Beautiful quote Hedi, have a nice day😘😘😘

  2. Yes, words are meaningless without the energy of love to back them up. Thank you for the reminder.🌼

    • yup…I think about the feelings of energy and emptiness of words…especially in a world filled with a lot a blah blah…now off to the woods and sunshine…have a productive day Maria ✌️🤓🌞

  3. Excellent mood 😍

  4. In the tale that you refer to in your heading, the only being that in the end remembered what happened in the book, is a dog (who cannot speak). Words are powerful clues, but the spaces between the words are often even more potent.

  5. Funny… The moment I saw the first photo, I thought that this set would have to be shot in Amsterdam. Must be because I was born there… Bicycles and rain…

    • yes it is that place…it is has the best bike lanes to me ☺️💫✌️ have a snappy day Ronald ~ smile hedy ☺️

      • Haven’t been there in years, so I don’t know what it the status of bike lanes these days, but yeah.. The Netherlands and bicycles 🙂 Shoot On!

        • we’re trying here in Etown but of course we have winter 8 months and our bike lanes are visual chaos…we can learn from places that use their bikes more…I cycle in back alleys and on the side walks to avoid all the trucks we have here…it’s not the same at all…and I love seeing the bikes on the canals….thanks for your comment Ronald have a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy ☺️💫✌️

  6. Beautiful bikes and words.

  7. Love!
    Alison

  8. stunning reflections

  9. So true , you don’t find your true self in books , have a great day Hedy 🙂

  10. wonderful, hedy!
    reminds me of riding
    rain or shine
    in Amsterdam 🙂

  11. Hey Hedy … super images! 🙂

  12. Throwing off all those ideas about mind and body isn’t easy, but riding a bike could be a good start, eh Hedy? 🙂 These images have the richness of tapestry.

    • I love cycling…I cycled to work for decades before it was a ‘in’ thing…now not on ice or snow…after a wicked fall…but I love the feeling and ability to get somewhere on my on time…I imagine horse lanes would work here in etown too 🤓😊

  13. Biking in Amsterdam was the opening of freedom for me, at age 10. I may have told you already.
Will the truth ever emerge? It may be in hiding right now…
Or on flight 716 to Sidney?
    🙂
(Loved that one. One title I deciphered! yes!)
    <3

  14. And love your photos of Amsterdam… Rain is forever tied to that city… 😉

  15. And as I finished your weekly “digest”, one of my best moments of the week always… allow me to wish you a happy week-end.
    Tot ziens

    • awe humble thank you Brian…I appreciate your kindness and comments Brian…I started my blog for me…and it still is but of course its wonderful that you and others also enjoy my heady head blurts or as you say my digest…I remember my parents got that readers digest when I was little…Tot ziens have a happy Tuesday…I had a family weekend in Calgary so fun! 👵🏻😃✌️

      • “Digest”. I too remember the reader’s digest.” It is a WP term, when you schedule to receive all posts by one author weekly. So every monday, I get your posts strung up in a “digest” in my mail. Open the mail and click on each post which leads me to your blog. And as I said, it is one one of my favourite digests.
        Enjoy Calgary and the family.

  16. Amsterdam is great. Like the quote and photos too.
