come in here, dear boy, have a cigar,
you’re gonna go far,
you’re gonna fly high,
you’re never gonna die,
you’re gonna make it if you try,
they’re gonna love you.

La Tienda Cigars, Edmonton ~ Alberta ~ November 2018

  1. Incredible closeups Hedy! Light makes it right,
It’s a perfect day for a smile, hugs, Eddie

    • it was a tough place to photograph for me 🤓 all the spot lights and reflections from cellophane paper…soI liked that part…always good to experience some cognitive dissonance…I’m smiling and for you and many others who know ✌️💙 have a perfect day too ~ smiles hedy 😃😊

  2. Great details and framing.

  3. What a beautiful set of photos, Hedy, and I love the Buddha’s words. 🙂

  4. I can smell these photographs. 🙂

  5. Great pics with a beautiful quote Hedy!!!

  6. Speak when you are angry – and you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever regret. Better smoke a cigar and burn those words before they leave your lips. Makes me thinks of the way Native Americans used their ceremonial pipes; an object that is at the heart of native people’s culture because the smoke coming from the mouth symbolizes the truth being spoken, and the plumes of smoke provide a path for prayers to reach the Great Spirit.

    • indeed Urban….the smoke coming from the mouth symbolizes the truth being spoken…honesty and authenticity is refreshing these days 🤓✌️ compose a productive and happy week ~ smiles hedy 😊

  7. Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar,
    You’re gonna go far,
    You’re gonna fly high,
    You’re never gonna die,
You’re gonna make it if you try,
    They’re gonna love you.
    I’ve always had a deep respect and I mean that most sincere;
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think,
Oh, by the way, which one’s Pink?
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?
We call it “Riding The Gravy Train”.
    We’re just knocked out.
We heard about the sell out.
You’re gonna get an album out,
You owe it to the people.
    We’re so…

    • yes! I’ve always been a Pink Floyd fan Gavin…still resonates for me today 🤓✌️ have a wonderful happy week…have a snappy monday ~ smiles hedy ☺️✌️💫

  8. Fab close-ups and textures.

    • thank you Steve for your comments and yes I love playing with close ups…it’s been snowy and we’ve had freezing rain so I need new winter boots to get myself back out on the ice for some outside shots…but there is always something beautiful to photograph for sure ~ smiles hedy 😊💫

  9. a stunning series of photos, Hedy, carried by your sensitive view on details. What a delightful work. 🙂 smiles to you

  10. Oh wow Hedy .. cigars have never looked so good! Love the light, colour and depth 😃👏

    • I used both my fuji and iPhone…it was tricky to capture with all the shadows, lights and reflections but that also made it fun to learn along the way…big smiles to you hope you are in your garden Julie ✌️🤓☺️

  11. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar?
    😉
One could almost smell the perfume of old tobacco.
    (Unlit cigars smell better…)
