According to Buddha

You have to go through the darkness to truly know the light. This may sound like a cliche, but it’s true nonetheless. Often the greatest doubts occur just before a breakthrough.

le soir ma mère nous chantait quand j’étais enfant
l’histoire d’un bateau perdu et d’un oiseau blanc
un jour le bateau s’en va droit vers l’océan
et seule, le cœur plein d’amour, une fille attend

  1. I grew up with Nana Mouskouris voice, my big sister was a fan of hers in those days. And funny enough, only a couple of weeks ago I woke up with a famous song of hers (after decades of not hearing her) in mind, cheerfully greeting the day: https://youtu.be/eOvibLXJxQ8 … some revivals are … well, they simply are :o) … have a wonderful day!

  2. I love this idea – and just saw it on another blog – about the dark times lead to the good and help us embrace the light- and wonderful photos

  3. Excellent.

  4. I love going backstage. It reminds me of theater work in my youth. (Always backstage). A nice collection of images Hedy. Have a great week. CHeers!

    • it was fun Chris…very fastened so much to see…but for sure an appreciation for all it takes to make a show…the arts matter for me 🤓☺️ have a wonderful teaching week ~ smiles hedy ☺️

  5. Love the mood set the first image gave me.

  6. Great photographs!

  7. brilliant photos (as always). Also what a great song by Nana. I first heard of her in college from a greek friend back in the late 80’s. Wonderful memories. Cheers.

    • I think her voice resonates/ed for many of us…so beautiful to hear songs in other languages…I also would love to visit Greece…thanks kindly for your comments Mobius sending you creative vibes for another productive week ~ smiles hedy 🤓☺️💫

  8. Such interesting captures Hedy.
    Alison

    • Thank you kindly Alison it was a fun little adventure…with my foto friends…always enjoy being in front of something new for me…enjoy your photos…you made beautiful post again…smiles from rainy Montreal ☺️💫

  9. i agree with your quote.

  10. Great photos Miss Hedy!!! 👏

  11. The intensity of light will be proportional to the depth of darkness, right?
    I will be dazzled. 😉
    Now, Nana Mouskouri?
    That is from old times…
    (Such a voice!)
May the light be with you.

  12. wonderful details of a nightwalk (was this your night walk?). It’s like I get pulled into this series of photos and see all the things with your eyes and just follow your stroll.

    • no this was inside the auditorium for an opera company…my night walk was fun..but nothing amounted from my shots…it was a large group…I still prefer to shoot alone…or with one other person…I’m not such a groupie person 🤓🙃☺️ but of course your idea still lingers in my hedy head 😄 smiles 🙂
