According to Buddha

There are many winds full of anger, and lust and greed. They move the rubbish around, but the solid mountain of our true nature stays where it’s always been.

where did they go
graceful in the morning light
to banner fair
to follow you softly
in the cold mountain air

Moraine Lake, Banff National Park ~ May 2019

  1. What an amazing looking place. You came away with some great images. Have a great week, Hedy. Cheers!

    • Thank you kindly Chris…it was stellar weather as well…I think I had a touch of heat stroke…I was not prepared for the heat in the mountains 🤓 have a joyful day ☺️💫

  2. Amazing landscapes. And the b&w processing gives it a great sense of depth.

  3. Absolutely stunning pics! Not sure if my comment will work, but here goes….

  7. All so beautiful, especially the first three. And I love the Buddha quote!

  8. Amazing landscapes.

  9. what a magnificent place.

  10. Beautiful monochromes, Hedy! In human timeframes the mountains do not change…as soon as I saw the first image I recognized that scene. The mountains there are so powerful, so majestic…I still carry the impression even 47 years after I was there .

    • Humble thank you Mic…I remember as a little girl my mother painting and my sister and I playing…50+ years ago…the only difference is so many humans…going right after dark was the best…it was so still and quiet…an di like this ‘In human timeframes the mountains do not change’…have a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy ☺️🙂🙃

  11. Such an impressive landscape, Hedy, it must have been wonderful to see. The first is a classic, the second throws that on end, which is good. Then the third adds the human element, which puts us there, also good. It’s a very dynamic, diverse view in just five photos. 🙂

    • Humble thank you Lynn…I’m sure that one can google Moraine Lake and find a billion images…with a mother as a painter…I sometimes feel a certain banality towards the mountain landscapes but of course they are beyond beautiful and powerful and being there is never the same…the light the weather etc..thank you for your thoughtful comments…appreciated 💓 hugs and smiles hedy

  12. wow, soooo stunning. That’s what I call excellent compositions and light, Hedy. Wunderbar! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  13. Winds of anger, lust and greed… Very true.

Your posts always make me think.

    • yup lots of that blowing about these days…your mountain is there…it doesn’t leave…maybe hides but never leaves…big strong mountain hugs 🤗 have a peaceful day Brian ☺️✌️
