According to Buddha

The mind: A beautiful servant, a dangerous master.

the dangerous kitchen
if it ain’t one thing it’s another
in the middle of the night when you get home
the bread things are all dry ‘n’ scratchy
the meat things
where the cats ate through the paper
the can things with the sharp little edges
that can cut your fingers when you’re not looking
the soft little things on the floor that you step on
they can all be dangerous

Eating Power: Food, Culture, and Politics ~ etown December 2019

  1. good to see the pics of the dried magic mushrooms dear cousin, it will widen your spiritual perception dramatically

    • well that’s an idea these days for sure 🤔 will check that out 🤗 these aren’t shrooms though 🤓 have a magical day Rene ❣️🤗💫

  2. are those really magic mushrooms? we all need a little magic in our life

    • no no 🤭 but agree Eddie we need magic…lots and lots of it…here and there and ever where ☺️💫 🤗 have a magical day ~ smiles hedy

  3. You continue to amaze me. You can photograph anything beautifully. It’s sort of like a singer who can sing the phonebook.

  4. yes a dangerous master, especially when the mind itself is largely the servant of impulses bubbling up to consciousness from diffused subconscious networks in the brain…

  5. My mind is boggling at all those dangerous things in your kitchen. I agree, watch out for the soft stuff under foot. 💛

  6. Excellent series.
The monochrome brings out the shapes perfectly.

  7. I’m a bit speechless…the bones take on a feeling of gaming pieces, like dice, the way they’re arranged. On the other hand, the subtle tones in the images are respectful of the forms’ inherent beauty so it doesn’t seem to be a game at all. In fact it could be quite serious…Frank Zappa, food and power, etc. So it’s hard to know what to make of it all, but the photos are what I’m left with, and they’re terrific. 🙂

    • I did lift and drop them…I liked the shapes and yes the politics of food…for many it’s not a game…I’m not sure what to makes sense of these days…but I do like food 🥘 ☺️🙃🙂😄 thank you for your thoughtful comments Lynn appreciated 🤗

  8. The mind is a dangerous master? Worse than emotions? Hmmm. 🙂

  9. PS. Why the vertebrae? 🙂
