According to Buddha

In most of our human relationships, we spend much of our time reassuring one another that our costumes of identity are on straight.

we can chase down all our enemies
bring them to their knees
we can bomb the world to pieces
but we can’t bomb it into peace
whoa we me even find a solution
to hunger and disease
we can bomb the world to pieces
but we can’t bomb it into peace

Alberta Aviation Museum ~ Etown Alberta ~ December 2019

  1. Cool images, Hedy. An aviation museum sounds like fun. I hope you have a great week. Cheers!

    • Thank you kindly Chris…always curious to visit these spaces…and learn a little more along the way…and yes sending peace ☮️ for a gentle new beginning…smiles hedy ☺️💫

  5. You never cease to amaze me. And I particularly love this Buddha quote.

  6. Excellent opening words for this post, Hedy.

  7. Love that zzzzzipper, Hedy!! 🙂

  8. Nice observation of the zipper. I like both the quote from Buddha and, what I am guessing are your sentiments afterwards. It doesn’t seem the human race will ever learn that lesson.

    • ☺️🤓 thank you Steve…and please know one of my intentions of my sloppy blog is to share music…I often hide in music ☺️🙃🙂

and the song Bomb the World by Michael Franti felt right in my hedy head…so I compiled it into this visual post ☺️🤓 even when messages are sent we never know if they are received…humans…learn and unlearn…maybe I don’t know 😞

      compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy 🙃🙂 brand new 24 hours❣️

  9. Powerful Line that we cannot bomb the world into peace

  10. ‘but we can’t bomb it into peace’

    how true.

    • such a powerful song to me Gavin 🤓…the words of Michael Franti 🎼 🎶 ☮️
      violence brings one thing
      more more of the same
      military madness…

      sending ❣️✌️

  11. It amazes me that you can go to an aviation museum and find images like these! Brilliant. And that Buddha quote – also brilliant.
    Alison

    • it’s an indoor space i go with the foto friday humans…I’ve been 3x now…I know little about aviation so I’m always curious…the museum has changed over the years…much more ‘controlled’…lines not to be crossed…so I made a story in my minds eye…so thank you…and yes Ram Dass has been on my mind these days 🤓☺️ thank you for your comments Alison always appreciated ☺️❣️

  12. Amazing quote and poem. The refrain is so powerful and obvious and yet somehow for millennia we seem not to understand.

    • thank you D.W. 🤓 please know one of my intentions of my sloppy blog is to share music…I often hide in music ☺️🙃🙂

  13. I really like this triptych

  14. Great composition. Identity is so fragile. But that is good news. 😉🥁🎯👽Thomas

  15. Very amazing to read but also very truthful though.

    • thank you kindly Sara…appreciate your comments and apologies for my delayed response ~ compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy ☺️💫

  16. Hedy, this is excellent storytelling in words and images combined. A stunning triptych that tells so much. Amazing creative work. – many smiles to you

  17. “Costumes of identity”. That’s a good one. So many people have theirs zipped up so tight they can’t breathe or see…
Bonne année Hedy. I’ve probably said it many times before, but heck, we have all of January for good wishes right? 😉
