According to Buddha

We’re fascinated by the words, but where we meet is in the silence behind them. This silence comes only out of deep internal reflection.

  1. The frost patterns are really beautiful, Hedy. Have a great week.

    • yes such patterns and beauty…it’s been a intense week…thank you for your words Chris…I will write more later ~ smiles to Boston ☺️🙃🙂 have a great Wednesday

  2. Amazing patterns, Hedy.

    • I know right…it’s always so fascinating to see…and it’s very cold so even better ones…thank you for your comments Rabirius always appreciated ☺️💫 smiles hedy

  3. Ice flowers! Or what is it called in English? When I was young and houses weren’t that well heated we had them often on the bedroom windows. The thin layer of linoleum on the floor was freezing. Hurry up to the living room where mom had poked up the coal fueled heater to dress ourselves. Dad fed the husky’s and slaughtered a reindeer for breakfast. Well, the last sentence probalby isn’t true, but you get the drift. 🙂 Lovely pictures Hedy!

  4. These are absolutely beautiful. Stunning. And somehow miraculous.

  5. stunningly beautiful.

  6. Love these images!

  7. So beautiful. Winter has come!
    Alison

  8. “It is the job of poetry to clean up our word-clogged reality by creating silences around things.” — Stéphan Mallarme

    These are lovely, cathedral silences.

  9. Wow, these are lovely, hedy!!

  10. and there is that particular silence right after a dense new snowfall…

    • yes…now it’s so crackin cold…it’s crunchy and then it doesn’t snow it just feels like glass roads and frozen noses 🥶 enjoy your snow days as well Penny…always a surprise on the coast…be safe ☺️💫

  11. ppfff… …this is just amazing, Hedy. It so great what your creative eye and heart sees and how you convey that emotions. warm ice flower smiles over the pond :)))

    • this post has a wild and bizarre meaning now for me…and I so love the patterns on my windows…smilesfrom cracking cold Alberta 🥶 🥶 🥶 💫☺️ have a creative day Markus❣️

  12. The magic beauty of frost crystals. A perfect symmetry… 🙂
“Dis-moi un secret”… A nice song, though it reminded me that I sometimes find it hard to understand French Canadians. I remember Beau Dommage in the 70’s… 🙂 And when they speak Joual, it’s almost impossible to understand. Though pleasant to the ear…

    • many people find it hard to understand French Canadians 😉😁 I love French music mostly 🤓☺️

      • True. Beau Dommage had a very nice sound. Wonder whether they’re still around. Ah! La complainte du phoque en Alaska… 🙂

        • Got it on Spotify now hmmmmmm don’t know them …. thanks Brian ☺️💫🤗

          • They’re a group from the seventies. As often for French Canadian groups they may have been more popular in France than at home. Here’s one of their best songs:

A story about a lonely seal on the ice in Alaska who’s “blonde” (Girlffriend) has gone…

      • I tried to answer another of your comments “the new year came with a bang”, but comments seem to be closed. So here’s my comment: A good bang I hope?

        • Sure…it’s not god or bad…it’s sad…as my mother left this plane for her next adventure…it was a sudden death but not unexpected…but death is sad…so I’m doing this story…you know…😌🤓☺️💫 and she is free of pain…and left on her own terms which is cool…again more learning along the way…smiles still listening to Beau Dommage…☺️ and having nice coffee…hugs 🤗

  13. Icy beauty Miss Hedy 🙂👏💫

  14. What a beautiful frozen fantasy world…I voted for ya!… 😉
