otter Edmonton Zoo ~ February 2020

  1. I’m a nobody now. I liked it better being a somebody.

  2. Oh soo love these. Thrilled to see the otter!
    Alison

  3. Oh, my dear Hedy, these are incredibly beautiful! xoxoxo

  4. The less you are,
    the greater you become,
    the less it matters.
    A fabulous post Hedy.
    The images are amazing!

  5. Your viewpoint is forever unique and a joy to behold.

  6. Isn’t it to get to the point where this questions dissolves? What a lovely creature this otter is, such a radiant smile on it’s cute little face! Fabulous pictures, like always! have another fabulous day, hedy! Big, big smile!

    • …where this questions dissolves…yes I’d agree…I was listening to Ram Dass…making oneself into a “nobody” — that is, truly open and egoless — butt I don’t know Silvia I also think some ego is required…certainly at some points in our lived experiences…so many words these Buddhas all have ☺️🤓 sending smiles and joy and lots of water too dissolve those questions 😉💛…albeit I have wonders 🤓

      • Oh I am with you, sometimes some ego may be required, but don’t we feel bliss when we ourselves dissolve in what we do and there is no question for those moments whether we are some- or nobody? Childlike playing and being just there, for a moment again? This passes, yes, but … it happens, doesn’t it? Wishing you many such moments, Hedy, sending smiles and joy too!!! :o)

  7. Have you ever read I Am That by Nisargadatta Maharaj? I think its right up your alley. 🙂

    • I just read this little review…thank you Mike…I will take a closer look as ‘I Am That’ is new to me..🤓

…I Am That preserves Maharaj’s dialogues with human suffering and the ending of suffering. It was his mission to guide the individual to an understanding of his true nature and the timelessness of being. He taught that mind must recognize and penetrate its own state of being, “being this or that, here or that, then or now,” but just timeless being…timeless being…I’m reminded ofI Becoming Buddha, Becoming Awakened: A Buddha’s Timeless Path of Meditation…

thank you again ~ smiles hedy 🤓☺️

  8. Cool! Like it very much!

  9. The first two pictures have a somewhat dreamy and abstract quality that I really like. And, certainly, I also like the little fella in the last picture.

  10. Relating these images (beautiful images btw) to the idea of being somebody/nobody is a deft, intriguing challenge. Mood orienting and very appreciated.

  11. A fun trio of images, Hedy…all those round shapes and bright reflections…brrr!

  12. Ah Miss Hedy … Clever you! These are delightful and what about that ever so handsome otter? What a beauty …

  13. Man overboard? Men I’d say. And many…
Beautiful pix. Reminded me of “A ring of bright water”.
    Thank you. Dankje. Merci.
