According to Buddha

So go with the flow, doing your best to accept and appreciate everything just the way it is (including your own imperfect efforts to resist nothing.) In doing so, you’ll find that the world becomes more chill, people become more beautiful, and your heart becomes increasingly filled with sweet, sweet gratitude.

you’ve got to get up every morning
with a smile in your face
and show the world all the love in your heart
then people gonna treat you better
you’re gonna find, yes you will
that you’re beautiful, as you feel

day trip central Alberta ~ Treaty 6 ~ a day or so ago ~ April 2020

  1. I don’t think I could survive without images and words from you.
    HEALTH today NO virus.

    • Awe…Barry I don’t know what to say other than thank you so much…heartfelt ☺️…I do my posts for me to make sense of what I witness…feel and wonder…you know 🤓…and I do believe we are stronger than we think…and that life includes chapters of beginnings, middles and ends…in the wise words of Hannah Arendt “storytelling reveals meaning without committing the error of defining it.”…we work again on staying healthy every day…and we learn more about this virus…sending you and your loved ones all good things 🤓🙃🙂❣️

  2. I love looking at photos of old abandoned buidlings, Hedy. They make me wonder about their past. I hope you are safe and well. Have a great week.

    • yes f those walls can talk…ahhhhh yes we are fine so far…will need to go out uncover to get essentials at some point here…I have much to do…but I do miss my regular routine…so now I make a new one…and you all good too! be safe and I send you all good things…smiles and hugs hedy ☺️🤓🤗

    • same same…but Im grateful I have heat and food and a mutt to take outside 🐕 sunshine ☀️ today…and wifi 🙃🙂🤓 have a good day GP ~ smiles hedy ☺️

  3. Resist nothing? Reminds me of a guy who sat on a park bench for two years. 🙏

    • yes it’s a challenge for some…I’ve had wonders and questions…the unknown…I reminded of a friend who told me be a tree…it’s in one place it’s whole life…hard for me to resist nothing…I’m like a filly in a round pen at times 🤓🙃🙂 but that is cabin fever from loooooooooooong winter….yearning warmth and green now ☺️🌱 have a happy day Mike ~ smiles hedy

  4. Those buildings are the definition of weathered wood. Really beautiful.

    • yes Neil…I also like old wood…I also enjoy the abandoned feeling on these old building and the stories they would tell…hoping you’re hanging in there Neil…strange times 🤓🤔🤷‍♀️ sending smiles and hugs ~ hedy

  5. Beautiful sequence.

  8. Absolutely 💛

  9. Beautiful abandonment! 🙂

  10. These are so beautiful Hedy. Delicate and weathered at the same time.
    Alison

  11. Love these old houses. I wonder what went on behind those walls. The human stories. Love, joy, sorrow, fun…
Thank you for your words. Just what I needed after a run down with my bank in France. 10,000 kms away, bureaucrats can be aggravating… 🙂 But your words made me smile again. Dankje Hedy

    • oh good smiles we need more and more…now some are hidden with public masks…such strange times Brian…but together we will move through this pandemic yet! …and yes old abandoned building are always exciting and curious…hugs hedy ☺️🤗💫

  12. The pink tones do something very interesting to that old wood. And is that another layer you used? It’s terrific, Hedy!

    • the front was pink the side a tad more peach…and yes I shot on my fuji and then played in Ps on my phone after a tiny Lr edit…I added the weeds🌱…and I don’t remember how it did it…it felt right in the moment…I do enjoy the layers…fun to play with sometimes…thank kindly Lynn for asking…hoping you’re doing ok…now I also want to see the snow geese apparently they also come this far north…anyways looking into that…bye for now 💐💕 hugs hedy

      • That’s what I thought – that you added the weeds, which look great there – you’re so good at getting that graphic balance just right. And you don’t remember how you did it – so funny, I can relate! Yes, check out where the snow geese are – check the inaturaltist app if you haven’t used it before. It can be helpful for seeing what people are finding in your area at a given time. Smiles to you!

        • I wish I could us “PS express” on my computer…and no sometimes I just get into making a set of images and export them…my Lr organization is sloppy…I prefer the development mode…yes I will look for those geese this week…as you know spring is slow…longest winter since 1960…so my whole life…I knew it felt long 🤓😄 hugs hedy
