nature along the way ~ Jasper ~ June 2020

  1. Nice captures. I’m seeing a lot of wildlife but not getting many photos. You seem to do better at it than I. Have a great week, Hedy.

  2. Hi, Hedy, love this post, the words, images and the song all speak meaningful things. Especially like your composition of the ferns.

I’ve listened to some of Beth Orton but not this piece so thanks for the introduction to it. (These images actually brought to mind for me the song “Put There By the Land” by the Ontario band Great Lake Swimmers.)

    • Thank you kindly Brett…love your song connection as well 🎼🤓 glad you enjoyed my sloppy post ☺️ appreciate your comments ~ smiles Hedy hope you’re doing well 💫

  3. So true, Hedy. Fantastic images and I love Beth Orton. Your fern image took my breath away. 🙂

  4. I am similarly breathless. The fern image. The fern image.

  5. 💗🎼🎵🎶💞

  6. I agree with that statement…we are a single body that’s forgotten or origins…our task it to remember.

  7. If I ever went into a forest like this, I would be dead before day’s end.

“Mr. Stackpole saw a black bear, thought it was cute and cuddly, and tried to hug it while making “gootchy-goo” noises. He is succeeded by his wife and daughter and a Sheepadoodle who is smarter than he, appparently, is.”

    • I don’t go often enough…it is a drive along the way for us to the coast…truly unrated I say Gregory…I’m an urban being…I’m cautious always around wild animals…they move very very fast💨 ☺️🤓 thanks kindly for your comments ~ sending joy hedy ☺️💫

  8. beautiful images, Hedy 🙂 so pure, close to nature!! that fern image is stunning!!

    • such a great drive and walks along the way…the ferns were amazing patterns…I took several shots…hoping your doing well Alexandra ~ sending you joy hedy ☺️💫

  9. Within are imag in ation
    lies all that we see.
    From this evolves
    what we know.

    Incredible photography.
    Stimulates the mind.
    Summer is here! enjoy, Eddie

    • yes it is Eddie…thanks kindly for your words…I appreciate them…I love summer and winter…delicious sunshine here on the coast ☺️☀️ hugs hedy 🤗

  10. usually I’m all about the Buddhist lead quote & the photos, but this time I am also very taken with the stanza that follows — and the theme is powerfully demonstrated by the interconnected subsurface web in a forest, literally weaving all those elements into one responsive super-organism…

    • ☺️🤓 thank you kindly Penny..”.one responsive super-organism”…I like your words…have a joyful day ~ smiles hedy 🙋‍♀️☺️

  11. A bear! ❤

    • a little surprise…I haven’t seen many in the wild like this…so adorable…almost as though she was rolling in the green grasses…eating roots…it was a gift☺️💚

  12. What wonderful shots. Bears would concern me. I can handle snakes, but I don’t “know” bears… 😉 Was that a female Moose or a youngun?

    • I think it was an elk…but I’m sure 🤔 …the neck seems different than the moose…and yes bears run very fast…and the bear was there for a very short time…I’m cautious around wildlife…I don’t know much other than stay back…enjoy the look and see and keep on driving by…but the roads are quiet…🤫…not many moving about yet…sending you joy 💫

      • Moose or elk, I couldn’t tell the difference… 😉 My experience with wildlife is that you need to know your terrain and the basic “psychology” of the. main animals. “Safety distance is one very important rule. How “close” does a given animal consider a human a threat? “Bonne semaine”

  13. The wildlife is exciting, but are you surprised that I’m in love with the ferns? No, you aren’t!! 🙂 🙂

    • I don’t see much wildlife so it’s exciting for sure…when one is not knowledgeable best to be cautious…they move fast…such a gift to see free…and yes for sure the ferns…yes Lynn I know and you’ve got the best flora…for sure ☺️💚I will catch up🙋‍♀️…life’s been full and fun 🤓

  14. I’ll add another vote for the ferns…perfectly done, Hedy.

  15. Beautiful images Miss Hedy .. made me smile .. thank you 🙂

  16. Beth Orton is awesome 👏
