According to Buddha

In our culture we’ve been trained to make individual differences to stand out. You look at each person and think, ‘Brighter, dumber, older, younger, richer, poorer’ and we make all these dimensional distinctions, put them in categories and treat people that way. And we only see others as separate from ourselves. One of the dramatic characteristics of the psychedelic experience is being with another person and suddenly seeing the ways in which they are like you – not different from you.

a day or so ago ~ outdoor fire ~ Etown – Amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ ~ January 2021

  1. If only this outdoor fire knew how she’d transform!
    Explanation:
    1. Fire in greek is female and
    2. the outdoor fire would be very very proud of what she inspired!
    ❤️🙏

  2. Beautiful and true. ❤

  3. Wow. I have no words. Your posts are so mysterious yet open; I love the message in the beginning. Yes, we must learn to spot the similarities first. Beautiful shots as usual! Have a wonderful week ahead Hedy!

  4. Amazing… and so true!

  5. Clever photographic work is very effective when
    combined with current statement

  6. Fantastic photos and message, Hedy! 🌞

    • Humble thank you Lisa ☺️🙏 they are the words of Ram Dass…I appreciate his readings…compose a joyful day ~ smiles hedy ☺️🙂🙃

  7. These words and these visuals are so incredible Hedy! WE are all pockets of each other…none of which are true. sooo love this. What is that picture? ❤️

  8. Incredible photos Hedy … breaking through the Matrix comes to mind. Keep doing it 💝😊🙏

    • and I have the doors in my head break on through to the other side…yup making more art…Im grateful to the opportunity to do so…hoping you’re well…big hugs and joy your way 🤗💫❣️

  9. My travels have shown me how alike we all really are.

  10. I’m not religious in the way a church would like me to; but I always liked: ‘Thou shall not Judge’.. in many different ways. Great colorful images, Hedy! What mushrooms were you on.. 😀 See you!

  11. Some of us also use those differences in a quest to feel superior. Psychedelics may help us overcome that but basic honesty about ourselves can do that too.
Whatever these are they are beautiful and you made some wonderful images of curiosity. They also remind me of some candies I recall from younger days.

    • yes Steve agreed…authenticity and honesty are refreshing especially these days 🤓I was reminded of a kaleidoscope…fun girlhood memories ☺️ ~ compose a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy 🙂🙃

  12. Fabulous fabulous fabulous. Love the colours and the designs, esp the last one. Gorgeous! Well the first one’s pretty darn cool too! Love.
    Alison

    • awe thank you kindly Alison…it was fun to compose…hoping you’re hanging in and hanging out…sending outside vibes ~ hugs hedy 🤗☺️❣️

  13. Love this—words and images. And also reminds me of my favorite album by the progressive metal band Dream Theater: Images and Words. 🙂 Cheers!

  14. Excellent work again. The differences and similarities reminded me when I starterd qualtiative research and I asked: why is a sample of 12 in-depth interviews enough? I was more a numbers man. The answer: there are not many more than 5 or 6 psychological “types” on a a given issue. 10-12 at the most. Within a reasonably homogeneous group of course.
So, with 6, 10 or 12 people we get an array of attitudes on an issue. Attitudes that are shared by the entire population. What makes us different is our own personal mix of attitudes. I may share one with you. Another with someone else. Und so weiter. It is the combination that makes us unique.
Thanks for the thought. All different and all similar.
