According to Buddha

Surely there is a window from heart to heart:
they are not separate and far from each other.
Two earthenware lamps are not joined,
but their light is mingled as it moves.

i have been wandering long
came across your, oh so delicate, delicate frame
brittle boned, you sat crouched and decayed
two hundred years or more
wrinkled map on skin, on floor

glass windows a few days back in the town of Morinville, AB ~ July 2021

  1. Love the 2nd shot! Looking straight at things always makes them one step more abstract, because there is no perspective.. Fine colours as well. Enjoy Sunday!

    • Thanks for saying Harrie 🤓 I don’t always know which little boxes to put my work into so I like it when you say ☺️ abstract it is 👌☺️ I played with Lr and made the colours brighter albeit it was a bright blue day! Enjoy your day…all of them seem to merge these days 😂☺️🕊💛

  2. Lovely Hedy 💛🙏💛

  3. I love, love this poem and an excellent perspective

    • Thanks kindly Beth and yes 🎶🎵Anna Mieke’s ‘Warped Window’ 🎶🎵fitted perfectly to me ☺️🤓💛happy day to you!

  4. You’re closing in on post nr 1000. Planning something special?

    • Well yes I never imagined blogging this long 😳 I started for myself…and of course I’m humbled humans follow and write here too…I don’t know what Buddha’s say about 1000 but yes I’m thinking about it but not sure yet so sloppy of me…it will emerge it always does…thanks Shaharee for following and noting I appreciate your words…I also started my sloppy blog to document my progress/growth as an imagemaker as I carry my little black box with me most everywhere ☺️😁sending you joy for a joyful day 💫🕊💛

  5. Wonderful photos.

  6. I like how these reflect the sky. Have a great week Hedy.

    • On the coast and it’s all good here…happy to be away from alberta for a while…sending writing vibes for a productive week ☺️💫🕊

  9. Nice.. lovely

  10. Lovely photos and I enjoyed the poem and link at the end.

    • Thanks kindly Sarah and yes the words from Anna Mieke ‘Warped Window’ worked for me on this post ~ compose a beautiful day ~ sending joy hedy ☺️💫

  11. Always wandering and wondering.
    Looking for eternal answers,
    what is important now,
    will matter little
    in times coming.
Close friends matter forever, hugs, Eddie

    • Yes always Eddie and I hear your teachings 🤓feels like a strange times…in so many ways…thanks kindly🙏hugs back to you❣️💫

  12. Nice words. It is time to find the windows.

  13. Ah, Hedy, I love this. The photos themselves and the color palette you chose. This is exactly the kind of thing I have enjoyed seeing randomly for many years. I don’t know what it is about it. I guess it’s partly that I see the stacked objects as sculpture, partly that I love the “forgotten” aspect of things left by the house, and partly the juxtaposition of human-built with nature. Did I mention that I love it? 🙂 Great “quote” too!

    • It was behind a glass shop Lynn 🤓 walking with foto friends poking about the town of Mornville…I saw the reflections…I was also working with the word mundane for a challenge I was in…always appreciate your comments thanks kindly ☺️🙋‍♀️hugs from white rock 💫

      • White Rock – you’re visiting – have fun! Maybe we’ll get up there one of these days – it’s good to hear the border’s finally opening – but then you have to wonder what’s going to happen in the fall, with the Delta variant. It’s a rollercoaster ride and we just have to hang on. Have a good time!,
