According to Buddha

Fish play in the water. Birds play in the sky. Ordinary beings play on the earth. Sublime beings play in display.

if you go down in the woods today, you’re sure of a big surprise
if you go down in the woods today, you’d better go in disguise

  1. That looks a lot like Doll Island, just with Bears! Very interesting.

  2. Many smiles and much love here,
    hugs, Eddie

  3. Creepy.

  4. Surprising indeed! Thanks for such an interesting share Hedy 🙏

  5. Stay out of those woods. 😁 And, who says fish play in water and birds play in air? Could be the other way round.

  6. The teddy bear picnic?

  7. What does it mean that sublime beings play in display?

    • apparently, according to Thinley Norbu Rinpoche…

Sublime beings can appear in the inexpressible qualities of the Buddha which are beyond the habit of substantial reality’s form. If we only accept the existence of what can be accommodated within our ordinary delusion, it is impossible to have faith in enlightenment, which is the infallible, pure phenomena of any Buddha and is beyond our ordinary reality.

🧐wooly to me Mike🤓something for me to chew on…maybe you know? happy day smiles hedy ☺️💫

  8. My furry friends will begin their party in the woods in a few weeks when the salmon arrive Hedy.

  9. Like everyone else commenting, I was chanting the song before I got to your punchline — what a long life that song has had! hop-scotching across generations & cultures…

    • yes Penny 🤓it has a long story the spooky-sounding version was written in 1907…I always liked hop scotch you made me think back to simpler times🦋☺️ sending you joy Penny🦋

  10. Lol. You made it creepy! Shivers from over the pond, Hedy! 🙂

    • yes you are right Peter…creppier for sure…more autumn tones with the Lr sliders 🤓☺️😉🙃🙂 shivers back over the pond…would you go in the woods at night 🙃🙂😉 smiles hedy ☺️🌷

  11. That’s pretty damn frightening, actually!

  12. Hmmm, anything but sublime…I think you did the right thing with these, keeping it dark. 🙂

  13. a sublime Teddy hanging Hedy… lol.. time for Halloween!💖💖💖

  14. The forest of lost bears. Could be spooky in there at night with all of them looking at you. 😂🤣😂🤣

  15. A big surprise. It seems like a tale.

  16. Such cool shots Hedy. And a little creepy. they remind me of a bunch of bears/dolls/etc attached to trees in Xochimilco in Mexico – kinda creepy there too.
    Alison xo

  17. It’s a little bit creepy to me, Hedy. The owner must be a teddy bear collector and didn’t know what to do with all the collection. What an interesting way to display the teddy bears. I don’t like to see some of them look like being hung by the necks though. Great shots!

    • Some were nailed on 🥺 it was creepy and I did make it darker…never saw a human 👀have a creative day Miriam ~ hugs hedy ☺️🤗💛

  18. Scary!

  19. Eerie. Straight out of a Stephen King novel.

  20. Definitely, do not go into the woods . at . night.
