Timely post for me. I have been on a Natalie Goldberg audiobook binge and just finished Zen Howl. It is all about living with things that seem contradictory. Writing and Zen. Howl and Zen. Another way to look at it!

As a very independent woman, I love the message. My independence is about taking care of me and mine. I never felt it was arrogance. Now I see it is a necessary middle path. If only society did as well.
