According to Buddha

Fixed ideas are like a wisp of cloud or smoke, but nonetheless people find themselves blocked or captured by these. You would laugh if you saw someone tripped by a cloud, or if someone claimed that they were imprisoned by the air. But, in fact, people are endlessly being trapped by things no more substantial than air or clouds. They make a wall with their mind, and then it imprisons them. Inherently, there is no wall or anything to trip over. These things are mirages they’ve created from the thoughts they gave rise to.

and i see you hiding your face in your hands
talking bout far-away lands
you think no one understands
listen to my hands

a day ago ~ spider dreams in Etown ~  Amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ ~ October 2021

  1. Most folks would consider spiders in their dreams to be nightmares. These are definitely not. 🙂

    • I experience both Steve 🤓💭 I made these to blend those experiences so I appreciate your response 🤓🙏 have a beautiful day ~ smiles hedy ☺️💫

  2. Amazing photos.

  3. Just *wow*

  4. Even though something is a mirage, we still see it! ♨

    • Point noted.

    • perhaps, some will…I’m not sure what humans see actually 🙂🙃🤓some things appear real or possible but is not in fact so…I don’t know Mike 🤓and then I wonder about facts 💭 have a snappy day hugs hedy

  5. Our own mind can trap us as sure
as a cage, if we let it.
Incredible words and photos present an amazing post.
    Have a lovely day Hedy.

    hugs, Eddie

  8. I have tons of spiders, webs, and sags of spider eggs in my back yard. Just watched an insect struggling, tried to be free from the web. Great photos and words, Hedy.

  9. I never thought of it this way, but that’s true, we get trapped by ideas as surely as in those webs

    • Webs as a metaphor for how ideas can be traps is something that I never thought of before either. But I certainly would from now on.

    • yes…well it’s true to me…make the story work for me…sometimes things are sticky☺️…but then looking reading wider makes we question and wonder and wander…butt I don’t know Hetty ~ sending you joy for a beautiful day ~ hedy ☺️💫

  10. these images scare me.

    • It’s fascinating how they can be scary and beautiful at the same time.

  14. wow Hedy, I love you breaking the facade of the walls through your words and pictures. Lovely and well done my dear friend!❣️

  15. Something Popper said, we build frames where we limit ourselves. If you break the frame and explore, you will eventually build another frame but it will be larger… (Sthg like that)
    Fantastic spiders. Great shots.

  16. These photos are something else, Hedy ~ wonderful! You’ve captured intricacies unimaginable but so eerily beautiful. Wishing you well ~

    • Thank you kindly Randall hoping you’re doing well so nice to hear from you…always appreciated 🤓🙏🕊 I enjoyed making them ☺️ big smiles and hugs ~ hedy
