According to Buddha

If a hundred people sleep and dream, each of them will experience a different world in their dream. Everyone’s dream might be said to be true, but it would be meaningless to ascertain that only one person’s dream was the true world and all others were fallacies. There is truth for each perceiver according to the karmic patterns conditioning their perceptions.

  1. This reminds me of the song “When I dream” sung by Carol Kidd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rhM8lyU5nk

  2. Amazing words, Hedy! How can a person interpret another’s dreams? 💐🙋‍♂️

    • Well I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ Sigmund Freud did apparently…I’ve had so many dreams this year phew ☺️😅I also liked the words of Kalu Rinpoche 🤓have a joyful day Ashley ~ sending joy hedy 💫

  3. The mystery of perception. Have sweet dreams!

  4. Felt most dreams experienced were total hog wash.
Was an occasional one that left some curiosity and interest.
Will a group make a difference? In my case, I doubt it.
Enjoy a beautiful day dear Hedy, love, Eddie

    • hog wash yes Eddie and yes some would say nonsense…☺️🤓…Freud did say that women were largely “a dark continent.” 🤷‍♀️😳😅I remember some dreams…depending on my sleep or if I day dream🙂 when i’m drowsiness, or in a light or a deep slumber, or awakening…some dreams do repeat…I make my own stories about them…a ‘group’ would not make a difference for me either…have a dreamy day smiles and love☮️💟🕉 hedy

  5. Not only dreams, but I think everyone’s reality is unique too, Hedy. Great set of images to illustrate that point.

    • Yes Vicki agree…makes life exciting, at times more than imagined 🤓☺️thank you kindly for your comment 🙏💫sending you joy ~ hedy

  6. Dear Hedy,
we like the morals of the quote but as we researched the structures and symbolism of dreams, we disagree that people dream differently. If you analyse thousands of dreams you clearly see repetitive structures. People of the same culture dream quite similar. And isn’t it what Buddha says that individuality is an illusdion?
The letterbox is very well photographed. We like it 👍👍
    Keep well and happy.
With love from the rough sea
    The Fab Four of Cley
    🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • thank you kindly The Fab Four of Cley🤓🙏and yes for Buddhists, all things, including self, are impermanent and non-dualistic…and this argument is based not on aspiration, but on simple truth: Individual identity is an illusion; we are, in fact, all interconnected and inseparable from one another…but I don’t know🤷‍♀️I’m a sloppy buddhist reading and making meaning along the way…have a dreamy day ~ sending joy hedy 🦋💫

  7. Yes indeed dear Hedy.. dreaming of love and light and your great pictures my friend. Happy dreaming to you!💖🌷❣️🙏

  8. Very appealing deep-toned triptych. Nicely done Hedy

    • Thanks kindly John and the rain added that extra sheen of deep tone 🖤💛 thanks for saying appreciated ~ have a creative week hedy 💫

  9. loved this. Hope to be with you in the morning. m

  10. I do like that quote. We all live in our own world. I also like the photos – very beautiful.
    Happy weekend Hedy. 🙏 🤗
    Alison

    • I do I know that Alison ☺️😅😀all good and yes I also like the Buddha’s words…sending joy to the west coast 🍁🍂🌞☺️hedy
