According to Buddha

I am not, I will not be.
I have not, I will not have,
That frightens all the childish
And extinguishes fear in the wise.
since you went away the days grow long
and soon i’ll hear old winter’s song
but i miss you most of all my darling
when autumn leaves start to fall

  8. These are lovely photos of droplets and decay.

  9. Excitement stirs with colorful leaves as they fall.
    Lovely photos Hedy!
Long nights, harrowing sights, all have their place.
Good friends always have a home.

  10. Wonderful photos, the colours (and the sounds-Eva Cassidy🎸) are just perfect for this season! 💐💐🙋‍♂️

    • I also like her voice and Neil young sings it well too actually many do 🎶🎵🎶the change is coming 🌬🌦🤍have a joyful day Ashley 🍂🍁

  11. love the walk in pictures with you Hedy 💖

  12. Gorgeous images and reflections Hedy 🧡

  13. A powerful beginning that ends most delicately.

  14. I love the water taking refuge on these fallen leaves, as if these drops refuse to leave the side of an old friend. And the patches of light that appear, as if light was somehow a form of ink and a drop or two had spilled on the page, are really haunting. For me this mix of subtle light amidst the earthen tones of benevolent decay really invokes the feeling of wholeness… There is the sense of movement and emergence within the autumnal quiet… Such lovely images!

    • And as Alison says such beautiful words Michael…I’m wordless and appreciate what you share…thanks kindly I appreciate your thoughtfulness 🤓🙏💛sending joy and hugs hedy 🤗🕊💫

  15. Gorgeous colours and detail. I wish I could write like Michael. Heck, I wish I could see like Michael!
    Hugs Hedy

  17. Beautiful message and photos. 🙏🏻🪐

  18. Lovely detritus, Hedy, and I like what you did with the colors. Enjoy the weekend!

    • Amazed at what shooting in RAW allows 😳🤓😅it was fun making them Lynn ~ hoping you’re safe with the rains and floods we’re keeping an eye on the lower mainland 🥺🤓🙏big hugs and love hedy 🤍🕊

      • You haven’t been shooting in RAW? Considering all the interesting things you do with your photos as it is, I can’t imagine how shooting RAW might expand your possibiliies. We’re fine just because we’re on an island, so no big rivers to flood. But not far away, it was really bad. Still, not as bad as BC! Thanks for asking and hope your family is all snog and happy – we just heard the roads in/out of Vancouver are blocked. Huh??? Can’t believe it. But the stories I’ve been hearing on CBC are incredible (I listen in the car).

        • I started maybe just about a year ago…it was about space and learning “how” and “losing” stuff…but now I’ve learned more with help from foto friends …and yes our family in whiter rock is fine…it looks sad for others in Abbotsford and Chilliiwack…and yes thee road closures will make things difficult for many…I imagine rural BC will be most effected…guess I’ll need to fly☺️🤓 happy weekending Lynn ~ hugs hedy

          • Maybe the road closures and gas rationing won’t last too long but the more I hear, the more it sounds like some areas are going to be feeling the effects for a long time to come. Extreme weather is the new normal. But we can still have a good weekend. 😉

  19. Amazing how you managed to make something that I step on every day this season so artistic and compelling. Excellent series, Hedy!

    • ☺️🙏yes and then that’s all I could see on my walk Rabirius so fun for me 🤓👣👣👣🐶sending joy apologies for my delayed response here 💫 hugs hedy

  20. Extinguishing fear in the wise is much to be desired.

    • Yes imagine Steve…these words are translated from Garland Ratnavali…I appreciated them as well ~ sending creative vibes for a joyful day ~ smiles hedy ☺️🕊

  21. AccuWeather says your neck of the woods is in a headlong rush into winter. Any snow and cold headed your way, or has arrived?

    • Oh yes it arrived 🌬❄️🌬❄️🌬🌞sun today messy roads ice humans all chaos…always is the first blast of snow you know 😜 apologies for delayed response David 🙏🙋‍♀️☺️sending joy 💫

      • We were supposed have our first brush with winter today, but it’s all to our east. Just a coolish day with a lot of sun. By the weekend, back to warmer temps.

  22. A great post.
