According to Buddha

…Each one of us lacks one thing or another. I am not exactly sure what we lack, but I can feel we lack something. In the West, even if at the moment you are going through a crisis, you actually have everything, or at least you think you do; all kinds of material goods are there, and are no doubt distributed better than they were in the past. But it seems to me that you are living in a constant state of tension, in an atmosphere of never-ending competitiveness and fear. And those who are brought up in such an atmosphere will find themselves lacking all their lives: they will not know that wonderful quality of depth and intimacy that is the richness of life. They will stay on the surface of the troubled sea, without ever knowing the calm that lies beneath.

may the long time sun
shine upon you
all love surround you
and the pure light
within you
guide your way on
guide your way on

  8. Such a beautiful reminder of Buddha’s words and your pics are def not lacking for anything Hedy!.. Amazing my friend!! 💖💖

  9. Good shots. Warm atmosphere, despite the cold.

  10. #1 – Warm colors on a cold night. Always good to have warm colors no matter where.

The serious … If there is a fear, it is loosing everything. We become that person pushing a shopping cart. On recent errands, I’ve noticed a few persons who are better dressed, most definitely cleaner clothes, doing their share of panhandling, clearly uncomfortable in their circumstance. Is the matrix unraveling???

    • 🤷‍♀️I don’t know…lots of humans have much to say on these topics issues stories realities…I’m not even sure on what words to use…things and lives are changed here over two years … change happens daily … I imagine we can unbuild and rebuild … and often I think about everything 🤓 I feel much of these past 2 years have been living in a zoom world … albeit I do go outside daily 👣🐶👣and work on mediation☮️sending warm thoughts David for a joyous day ~ hugs hedy

  11. The opening shot is so lovely. And then I wasn’t so enamoured of the next shot, but am intrigued by the light and the subject matter in the next two, finally realizing how wonderfully all four tie together.

    • I’m part of a learning group who photograph low light…and I was practicing with my mobile and the night setting and it was a full moon it was a strange night…dog walking…👣🐶and playing…thanks for saying Alison 🤓☺️🤍❄️hugs hedy

  12. These are excellent, Hedy. Once again, you married the processing style with the subject matter so beautifully. The last three could be a nice framed triptych. Oh, I love them…maybe the last one the most. The 2nd is really good though! And the 3rd, with those colors and the flattened look. Just wonderful Hedy!

  13. So much snow already. Makes for a different light.
There was a mural on the High Line in New York that caught my eye. It said: “I’m not interested in competing. I hope we all make it…” (Love it. Will post it soon)
    🙏🏻
