According to Buddha

The winter solstice is the time of ending and beginning, a powerful time…a time to contemplate your immortality. A time to forgive, to be forgiven, and to make a fresh start. A time to awaken.

we stood
steady as the stars in the woods
so happy-hearted
and the warmth rang true inside these bones
as the old pine fell we sang
just to bless the morning

  4. Yes, wonderful monotone images in the snow and a good time to reflect on the past 2 years and how the world has changed.

Hope you enjoy the festive season, Hedy. With so much snow, wild storms, flooding, earthquakes and volcanoes erupting, Buddha’s words are all the more meaningful.

The whole world has changed. Let’s hope we humans can learn some lessons from the past 2 years and make some changes about the way we look at the environment and climate change too.

What a powerful wake-up call we’ve had. All the more reason to live mindfully each day appreciating family and friends and how much they mean to us.
