According to Buddha

A true partner or friend is one who encourages you to look deep inside yourself for the beauty and love you’ve been seeking.

you can count on me like one, two, three
i’ll be there
and i know when i need it, i can count on you like four, three, two
and you’ll be there
’cause that’s what friends are supposed to do, oh, yeah
ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh, yeah, yeah

a day ago with foto friday friends ~ Talus Dome ~ Etown – Amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ  ~ January 2022

  1. Total agreement on the words! 🙂 And great shots; intriguing sculptere. Thanks, Hedy!

    • Yes it is a fascinating piece it’s on the roadside by a very busy bridge so awkward to see driving but fun to look at close up albeit that is was a dull gray day…I’ll try again with sunshine reflections glad you liked it Harrie 🙏🤓☺️hoping all is well with you ~ hugs over the pond 🤗🕊hedy

  2. Fascinating shots but what are all the little balls, Hedy?

    • The sculpture is made of 1000 balls and the lens ball is from my friend who brought it with her for our foto Friday adventure🤓☺️❄️ so I made the post about round seeing in the round 🤓 have a joyful week Chris ~ hugs hedy🤗🕊

  3. Dear Hedy
Great pictures, we love their graphics.
    Keep healthy and happy
    The Fab Four of Cley
    🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

  4. Nice shots and words.

  5. It may be cold, but your post is uplifting ❄️🕊❄️ Thanks Hedy 🙏🏼

  6. Cause that what friends are for.
Stay warm and happy Hedy, hugs, Eddie
    burr! it looks cold!

    • Yes dear Eddie that’s true for me…and we’re in some warmer stretch now…even winter rain😳❄️so it’s icy 😜 not so cold just fresh ~ hugs and joy your way hedy 🤍🕊🙏

  7. Cool sculpture or whatever all those stacked bearings are!

    • There arenearly 1,000 handcrafted stainless steel spheres forming an abstract talus shape, the sculpture reflects the sky, weather and the river of cars that pass by it…it’s cool Stevie 😎🤓🙏thanks for commenting ~ sending you joy and smiles for a creative week ~ hedy☺️🕊

  8. Hey there. To me, it’s not a dome. Little matter. I like it!

    • Well it’s one of the most contested pieces of public art here in etown…placed off the super busy road…it’s an odd location…the silver balls do make some sort of dome thingy🤓😉I like it I just wish it was in a park actually ☺️thanks Neil for commenting always appreciated ~ hugs hedy🤗🕊

  10. Too me a minute to parse the spheres, but isn’t that so for all of us! Haha. Lovely, provocative images as always. The close-up of all the spheres made me think of a community of those robots from the 1980’s movie Batteries Not Included which I suppose goes with the theme of friendships. All of them packed together like that: it just seemed like the perfect expression of some cool intelligence. Your gift is to somehow take that picture in a way that renders it friendly…

    • Yes they looked alien like to me…I’ll check out the film you’ve suggested Michael🤓🙏humble thank you for your kind words ~ sending joy and hugs hedy 🕊🤗🤍

  11. Really fun, Hedy, I feel the positive vibes from the quote, the images, and even the “day ago with foto friday friends” part. 🙂

  12. oh love it Hedy and you can count on me 1 2 3 but don’t count on me to count all those beautiful balls.. so beautifully captured my friend! 👏👏👏

  13. Study in white, blue, beauty… Thanks for sharing my friend.

  14. Friday photo adventures? Sounds nice.

  15. That’s a truly intriguing sculpture. And I love the second photo.
    Alison 💕🤗
