According to Buddha

Cultivate doing good. It can be done. If it brought deprivation and sorrow, I would not ask you to do it. But since it brings blessing and happiness, I do ask of you: cultivate doing good.

do you come from a land down under
where women glow and men plunder
can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder
you better run, you better take cover
buying bread from a man in brussels
he was six foot four and full of muscle
i said, “do you speak-a my language?”
he just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
and he said:

a day ago these humans agreed to be photographed ~ around the town ~ Etown – Amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ  ~ April 2022

  1. wonderful!

  2. Excellent street photos.
I Especially like the last photo. Though these guy are obviously posing for the picture, it looks quite natural at the same time.

    • I did a tiny set liked this one the best…trying to have little chats about identity which is a “homework” assignment so fun for me Rabirius…I was also with a friend so we had much fun☺️🤸hugs over the pond hedy

  3. Wonderful images you captured of noted humans.

    • ☺️😅well wasn’t sure so humans covers us all unless they tell me and these were little encounters🤓☺️fun foto Friday for me ~ thank you Timothy for saying🤸

  4. Nothing like a smile to lift a persons heart.
    hugs dear Hedy, Eddie

  5. Are the two men in the last picture twins/brothers? Great shots! I need to get up my nerve to photograph more humans…xo

    • 🤷‍♀️didn’t get that far into a conversation…I told them I had “homework” and they agreed so I made a tiny series of them…I liked this one the best☺️🙏 it does take some nerve but everyone here was amenable to the idea of being photographed ~ sending joy Miss Parker have a fun day ~ hugs hedy 🤗💐

  6. These guys are full of life. Fine photos.

  10. Nice street photos with a human soul.

    • I’m doing some homework with a group I’m studying with🤓so it was soulful to be out connecting on the streets of Edmonton Alex ☀️🤸hugs over the pond hedy🤗🕊

  11. thanks for your care in asking their permission, and for telling us!

    • ☺️🙏thanks Penny it’s part of the challenge from a class as I learn more about street…I do catch candid shots but with my little black box humans see me…so often I get permission after the snap as I show them…here the challenge is to learn a wee bit about the humans…hope to go out again shortly to practice🤍🤓happy weekending ~ sending joy hedy

      • I rarely include people, but when I do I avoid faces & prefer side or from behind or somehow identity obscured; and I never take children’s photos except from behind and at enough distance that they are anonymous — it’s about respect (people are not animals in the zoo) and also, alas, safety

        • I always think if it was me or my loved one how would I like them to be celebrated I rarely do sneak shots or shots from behind…I think about my personal photography ethics a lot as I do throughly enjoy street photography and humans…getting permission feels best for me…today I had another wonderful encounter I can tell how much humans want to chat…life is alive and happening again bit by bit…happy weekending Penny 🤓☀️hugs hedy

  12. Men at work doing good. Excellent post Hedy.
(Nice video too. Like many I’d heard the song but never seen it…)
The two mechanics looked like brothers… 🙏🏻
    Be good.
