According to Buddha

Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state of being. It’s not ‘I love you’ for this or that reason, not ‘I love you if you love me.’ It’s love for no reason, love without an object.

According to Buddha

Empty cognizance is our nature. Empty means “not made out of anything whatsoever”; our nature has always been this way. Yet, while being empty, it has the capacity to cognize, to experience, to perceive. It’s not so difficult to comprehend this; to get the theory that this empty cognizance is Buddha nature, self-existing wakefulness. But to leave it at that is the same as looking at the buffet and not eating anything. It’s like staying hungry. Once we put the food in our mouth, we discover what the food tastes like. This illustrates the dividing line between idea and experience.

According to Buddha

Duality is the real root of our suffering and of all our conflicts. All our concepts and beliefs, no matter how profound they may seem, are like nets which trap us in dualism. When we discover our limits we have to try to overcome them, untying ourselves from whatever type of religious, political, or social conviction may contain us. We have to abandon such concepts as ‘enlightenment’, ‘the nature of the mind’, and so on, until we no longer neglect to integrate our knowledge with our actual existence.

and oh, how our glory may fade
fade, well, at least we’ve learned
some things along the way

and we can see life hand in hand
the green, the blue, the rock, the sand
and in our time and in our land, we’ll savour every day

According to Buddha

Compassion does not see the faults of others.  It does not see the weaknesses of people.  It makes no distinction between good and bad people.  Compassion cannot draw a line between two countries, two faiths or two religions.  Compassion has no ego; thus there is no fear, lust or passion.  Compassion simply forgives and forgets. Compassion is like a passage.  Everything passes through it.  Nothing can stay there.  Compassion is love expressed in all its fullness.

According to Buddha

Being grateful to our parents is the foundation of being a decent person. We exist because of our parents. Our mothers suffered a great deal during pregnancy and while giving birth, much like the earth having to endure much ordeal as plants grow out of the ground.

According to Buddha

Everything in the universe is created by our own mind. Our mind is the source of all phenomena. Form, sound, smell, taste, and tactile perception such as hot and cold, hard and soft—these are all creations of our mind. They do not exist as we usually think they do. Our consciousness is like an artist, painting every phenomenon into being. Once you have attained the state of the realm of no materiality, you will have succeeded. The realm of no materiality is the state in which we see that no phenomenon exists outside of our own mind.

According to Buddha

We commit to the daily disciplined practices of meditation, yoga, exercise, wise actions, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, compassion, appreciation, and moment-to-moment mindfulness of feelings, emotions, thoughts, and sensations. We are developing the skillful means of knowing how to apply the appropriate meditation or action to the given circumstance.

there’s a rhythm to a highway to match the rhythm of your fears.

i don’t know what it’s like for you but here’s what it’s like for me…i wanted to turn beautiful and serve eternity and never follow money or love with greasy hands, or move the earth and waters just to make it fit my plans…my eyes would be the harbor, my words the perfect place for a girl on a road.

Environment is stronger than will power. If you want to be spiritual, seek good company and don’t mix with those whose bad habits may wrongly influence you. Be always with people who inspire you; surround yourself with people who lift you up.

According to Buddha

Life is a cosmic movie (projected within the screen of consciousness). I look at the beam of light, which is projecting these scenes on the screen of life (consciousness). I see the pictures of the whole universe coming from this beam.
