According to Buddha

If a wet battery, which is sustained by electricity and dependent on replenishment of its water supply (in an old type battery it was necessary to regularly add water to wet batteries to replace that which was lost in evaporation) could somehow be converted into a dry battery, it could do away with dependence on water and be sustained by its own reservoir of energy recharged solely by electricity.

The wise, therefore, are not tossed with the ups and downs of the waves of happiness and misery. They dive deep into the Spirit-Ocean of Bliss, avoiding the storms of delusion, the waves of change that rage on the surface of human consciousness.

Memorize my poem, Samadhi, and repeat it daily. It will help to awaken within you that lost memory of what you are in reality: ‘Try to feel, when walking out of doors, that everything around you is part of your own expanded awareness’.

There can be no images of light without contrasting shadows. Unless evil had been created, man would not know the opposite, good. Night brings out the bright contrast of day; sorrow teaches us the desirability of joy.

the embassies lie in hideous shards
where tourists snore and decay
when they dance in a reptile blaze
you wear a mask, an equatorial haze

According to Buddha

You have your own self-created destiny with its lessons to be learned, and you must play well that part for which you were sent here. If everybody on the stage wants to be a king or queen, there will be no play. An actor with even a minor part can ruin the entire production by a poor performance. Every role is important; everyone should interact harmoniously for the success of the play.

dig real deep, until it hurts. alleviate your guilt,

Untrained warriors are soon killed on the battlefield; so also persons untrained in the art of preserving their inner peace are quickly riddled by the bullets of worry and restlessness in active life…The schools should educate young students in this art, and in how to develop calmness and concentration.

shouting love at the world.
back then, we were like cavemen,
but we map the moon and the stars,
then we forgave them.
we will meet you where the lights are,
the defenders, of the faith we are.
