According to Buddha

When you believe that cold weather won’t hurt you, you won’t be affected by it. But if you feel you are going to catch a cold from the chill, you will. The thing is this: you don’t practice mind control. By controlling your mind you can experience the truth that this universe is a delusion.

will the wind ever remember?
the names it has blown in the past
and with its crutch, its old age and its wisdom
it whispers “no, this will be the last”

and the wind cries mary

According to Buddha

The cosmic Aum sound is the combined vibration of the three phases of Nature: creation, preservation, and dissolution operative in the physical, astral, and causal universes. The vocal chanting of Aum should be intoned first in a high pitch, representing creation; then in a lower pitch, representing preservation; then in a still lower tone that gradually fades away, representing dissolution. The chanting should be first loudly, then softly, and then gently until it is inaudible, or mental only.

are we on the lonely side
say oh now the past long away
are we so lost in the dark of our hearts
that there’s no light of day
no oh oh oh
somebody left the gate open
you know we got lost on the way
come save us a runaway train
gone insane
how do we how do we not fade
how do we how do we how do we not fade away
how do we how do we oh

According to Buddha

Attention is like a searchlight; when its beam is spread over a vast area, its power to focus on a particular object becomes weak, but focused on one thing at a time, it becomes powerful. Great wo/men are wo/men of concentration. They put their whole mind on one thing at a time.

green eyed lady dancing with the firelight
just to make a living having visions by the riverside
if we were lost i think we’re found now
come one, come all as the morning shines out
say goodbye to the night
it’s a new day for you burning bright
so cross your fingers and hope to die
say goodbye to the night

and i do not want to be a rose.
i do not wish to be pale pink,
but flower scarlet, flower gold.
and have no thorns to distance me,
but be bright,
bright,
bright, bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

According to Buddha

Our present existence is the sum of all they did, and we are the starting point for our descendants. All that our ancestors did reflects on us, and all that we do reflect on both our ancestors and descendants. One’s life is not entirely one’s own; it contains the past and conceives the future, and should therefore be lived with great care.

According to Buddha

Just as fog is dispelled by the strength of the sun
and is dispelled no other way,
preconception is cleared by the strength of realization.
There’s no other way of clearing preconceptions.
Experience them as baseless dreams.
Experience them as ephemeral bubbles.
Experience them as insubstantial rainbows.
Experience them as indivisible space.

losing all thought of spring
and nothing can help me remember
and i’m going nowhere fast
a darker day has holed at last
deep in a dream i set the calmness to spinning
and your love has come too late
away from the garden gate
wake me up when the blue bells are ringing
