If you meet the Buddha, kill the Buddha.
If you meet your father, kill your father.
Only live your life as it is,
Not bound to anything.

do you believe

nothing is real

Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; each has their suffering. Some suffer too much, others too little.

What would you do if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song
And I’ll try not to sing out of key.

oh, i get by with a little

Delightful are those forests where the worldly fail to find delight. There the awakened ones are joyful, wanting nothing.

Whether you are guided by your emotions or guided by your intellect, it leads to despair because it leads nowhere.  But you realize that love is not pleasure, love is not desire. You know what pleasure is?  When you look at something or when you have a feeling, to think about that feeling, to dwell…

If you yourself, who are the valley streams and mountains, cannot develop the power which illuminates the true reality of the mountains and valley streams, who else is going to be able to convince you that you and the streams and mountains are one and the same?

I have come to put my faith in the free-market system…The fact that it allows for freedom and diversity of thought and religion has convinced me that it is the one we should be working from.

Capitalism-as-competition implies an end goal…typically shareholder value, or sustainable competitive advantage.

Buddhism embraces paradox.

so if i let go my attachment to X, i’m more likely to get it.

but only if i give it up…stop seeking it.

so who’s left to behave ethically towards?
